A warm welcome always awaits us at the Wineport. It's a favourite haunt for us when on Arran - the staff are lovely, food is fabulous (with generous portions for the kids). Nothing better than sitting outside on a Sunday (or cosy round the fire if it's wet). Definitely give it a go if you've not been before - it's... More

Brilliant food, just what was required after a long day out walking in predictably wintery Scottish weather! The portions were hearty and the staff so welcoming, can't wait to come back :)

Four of us were winding down from a full weekend on Arran, and had just completed an out-and-back of the Goatfell tourist path. The weather had been as one would imagine for Scotland in February, and we were all starving when we finished the walk. I've done Goatfell at least 10 times and have stopped for a welcome pint in... Stopped off here whilst out walking for a drink. Was a lovely day so got a seat outside. Was busy & a good atmosphere. There were locals & people visiting the island. Fine for people with dogs too. We never ate but food looked amazing & we intended going back but walked a bit too far. Will back back for... More

We visited Wineport for lunch recently while on a family holiday. The food was good and there was a lovely area to sit and eat outside.

If the sun is shining this is the place to head fog on Arran. Lots of tables outside and an extensive menu of very well cooked food. In particular the crab rolls are to die for! Only criticism is they don't have enough umbrellas if the sun is out. Surely that would be easily fixed? Only reason this doesn't get... More

We visited Aran for the day and had an excellent lunch at a reasonable price. The staff were all friendly and the service was great. We went back for drinks after visiting the castle and had the best home made salted caramel ice-cream (and this from a group who have been following Scotlands ice-cream trail).

Absolutely wonderful tasty cauliflower soup with bread, so creamy and a nice topping of croutons. Pizzas how you like them, thin and crispy with lots of toppings, scones and cakes fresh out the oven. This place is great being at the start (or end) of the Goatfell path be it a sunny day when you can sit outside or a... More

Our weeks holiday on Arran was enjoyed by all our family and made even more special with a couple of visits to this gem. Top notch food and drink, great service and friendly staff. The best on the Isle.
