the service was very quick even though we were some of many people who all seemed to arrive at the same time. The chickpea curry I had was great but could have done with a tad more spice. the tandoori vegetable naan bread was absolutely delicious and my word the biggest I have ever seen in my life! Would definitely... More

We went in late wondering if the restaurant was still open. I ordered prawn pathia and bhindi bhaji. I know not when the prawns were introduced to the sauce but they were not good friends. The bhindi bhaji was ghastly. One redeeming feature was the nan, very nice. My two companions dishes were not great either. I realise we went... More

not for the first time we attended the Qismat's Monday night buffet, and as usual the standard of the food and quality of service from owner Liaguat Ali and his staff was excellent. We hadn't been for several months but with friends visiting we made a welcome return.

I went to the Quismat with my family on Friday 9th September 2016 for my 17th Birthday. We got a warm welcome from the waiter, we arrived at the back of 7pm and it was quiet for a Friday night. The drinks came quick so did the food. One of the waiters did not want to come into the photograph... More

Service was fantastic, very polite and attentive waiters. Great menu difficult to choose so many tasty dishes. Portions are generous especially the 'table' naan bread! Good choice of beers.

First time here but friends go often. The menu was really very extensive. I didn't have time to read it all. What I did have was very good. Everyone in our party enjoyed the food. The staff were good but not in your face all the time. The naan breads were big. The portion size was just right for me.... More

We were recommended to this restaurant by people who live in Elgin. Though they were fairly busy, service was good. Food took a bit longer than some places, but when it arrived it was well-worth the wait. Tasty, well-cooked. Portions are large, particularly Nan bread. Music was discrete, and plenty of space, making it relatively quiet for a restaurant. Much... More

Have used this place for several years but on this visit it seemed to be going backward A very grumpy chap in charge, well wearing a suit, hands either in pockets or arms crossed Menu shorter than before but all usual suspects Popadoms not good. A request to increase a sharing platter to allow for 3 people was refused. Think... More

Love the food in this restaurant, been going since it opened up many years ago. I used to think it was the best one in Elgin. However i feel it has gone down hill somewhat lately. Food is always great! But some of the staff are quite abrupt and we felt rushed.
