It is what it is; decent food, decent drink and very decent prices. Great place to go with a real mix of friends especially ranging work colleagues.

Visited 01/11/2017 served by Ben, who lacks the ability to inform customers prior to buying and ordering food - if The Muckle is out of any sides or condiments. I order a plain hot dog which of course requires American Mustard and Tomato sauce to...More

Hi Amy, Thank you for taking the time to follow through on your promise to write a scathing trip advisor review and complaint. We appreciate all comments both positive and negative. Just repeating what we spoke about on the phone when discussing your regrettably poor...More

Having been in Oxford 'Spoons at the weekend I found myself in Elgin and outside the local 'Spoons with an hour before my meeting. My Oxford weekend was fantastic - 32 special brews; all available in 1/3 pint glasses (an old fashioned 'swift) so I...More

Thank you for taking the time to review. We are glad to hear you visited us and enjoyed the selection of Windswept craft beers we stock which are brewed locally in Lossiemouth. We hope to see you again in the future.

Not much to say, most wetherspoons are the same, been here a few times and always thoroughly enjoyed the food. staff are pretty friendly and it has a nicer feel to it than the one in inverness

Typical spoons affair really you know what you’re getting! Well kinda as half the advertised drink isn’t available and they were very keen to charge doubles for singles and argue about cocktails. Some very nice staff though ;)More

Thank you for your review. We try very hard to offer as wide a selection as possible in our bottled range to complement the lack of draught pumps we have for our lager and cider products in comparison to other Wetherspoon venues. Unfortunately due to...More

Great place for a meal. Good choice of food. Myself, daughter and granddaughter are vegetarians but not a problem. Food always arrives in reasonable time and someone always checks if everyone is ok after a few minutes. Very eager to please. the only downside that...More

This Muckle currently has a rating of 3 stars. Slightly generous but probably fair. The real mystery is, why is it so popular is it's rating is average at best? Do we really value our leisure time so little that we go to a pub...More

While in Elgin my wife and I went looking for both shelter from the incessant rain and some lunch and we stumbled upon the Muckle Cross. Upon entering the premises it dawned upon me from the sheer size of it that it must be a...More

You can generally get good priced alcoholic drinks. Food is a hit or miss and if a miss then not good. Decor requires some updating as it's not changed in years and requires a refresh.More
