This place, situated in the centre of Perth, is busy and popular and the food is really good. The service is good. It isn't a large place so it can be a bit noisy when crowded.

It being a Saturday night the restaurant was very busy - always a good sign! Out table was a little small but that wasn't really a problem as the staff were excellent and kept everything clear. Indeed, the service was excellent throughout the evening. We ordered a starter of crab ravioli with monk fish cheeks served in champagne veloute. This... More

I had a voucher for cafe tabou. We ordered 2 courses each. Not eating much meat, i ordered mushroom souffle and the goats cheese salad. Both were lovely and made with presentation in mind. I was glad there were 2 vegetarian options as standard on the menu. My friends chicken was quite raw when she cut in to it, so... More

First time here and we will be back. We hadn't booked so arrived early hoping there would be space. We were in luck and just enough time for us to enjoy a relaxed meal. We chose from the pre theatre menu. Really good value. The twice baked soufflé was delicious, as was the chicken cordon bleu. My partner had the... More

Lovely meal here for Valentine's Day. We went with specials for all but one of our choices. The chateaubriand was on offer for Valentine's Day - delicious. The food in both courses we had was expertly prepared and beautifully presented. The menu strikes a balance between the familiar (mussels, steaks and crepes) and a some of the less usual choices... This is like a Les Routier recommended French restaurant that you get all over provincial France. Good food - good value especially if you stick to the traditional French Cuisine.

I loved the whole feel of this restaurant from the moment I entered. The decor is beautiful, the staff were inviting and warm and the food was incredible. I was a little unwell so to start I had the crab raviolli which was out of this world, it was so tasty and cooked to perfection. My partner had a duck... More

Visited on an Itison deal. Staff very welcoming, nice atmosphere and great menu. Picked of the Specials board and the Pre Theatre menu. Great choices. Chef served up an amuse bouchée, nice touch, along with half a baguette and real butter. No scrimping on quality or quantity on starters of lambs livers and a cauliflower & cheese soufflé. Superb. Main... More

First time eating at Tabou and it should have been sooner, nice and cozy on a cold January day, temperature and atmosphere. Efficient staff even when the Cafe started becoming busy. The food was well prepared and plentiful, the fish starter and beef cheeks main were really very tasty. My only criticism was the plastic type table coverings, very practical but nonetheless... More
