I visited Cafe Tabou yesterday evening for tea with a friend. I had been to the restaurant before and wasn't sure what to expect. I was very impressed, fantastic choice of food on the pre-theatre menu. The staff were very friendly & welcoming. I especially liked the little touches of giving us complementary french bread, olives and bread sticks. I... More

Booked this restaurant on the recommendation of a friend. We turned up at 6pm on Sunday and the restaurant was already busy. The four of us were given a nice table and the menus. They do a 'pre-theatre' menu which looks good value. For starter I had the Venison Stovies - what a lovely taste (with venison, sweet potato and... More

Had an excellent visit to Cafe Tabou to celebrate my Dad's birthday. I am normally quite critical of restaurants but Cafe Tabou was spot on. The food was delicious and the whole restaurant was buzzing and had a great atmosphere throughout the whole night. Would highly recommend and will be back.

A large group of friends and I dined here two weeks before Christmas. The restaurant was very busy and had a good buzz about it. We all ate from the pre-theatre menu and drank copious amounts of wine. No-one could fault the food choice or service again. The only negative (which did not affect us due to eating from the... Visited the Sunday before Xmas. The restaurant had been really busy with pre theatre dinners. We were shown to table by a lovely young girl who explained all menu to us. We ordered fish platter to share followed by chateaubriand for main. Both dishes well presented and really good everything cooked to perfection. We were recommended wines also which complimented... Lovely place, nice staff, nothing too pretentious, good food with quality ingredients. Fillet steak was best I've had in ages and was the proverbial melt in the mouth

A lovely restaurant with great atmosphere. Service was excellent. A very reasonably priced Pre Theatre Menu with great selection making for a difficult choice. A la carte menu also looked excellent. Cannot fault a thing and will definitely be back. Prosecco was particularly delicious!
