This was our first visit after hearing about it in a restaurant guide but it won't be our last. Nice atmosphere and good value food accompanied by great service.

Just had an A La Carte lunch here for the first time but will certainly be back as soon as possible. Lovely atmosphere backed up with fantastic food and great service from the young staff, Very attentive and could not do more for you. If in Perth you must give it a try.

This is a must for anyone wanting excellent cuisine, reasonably priced, well-served, in a family atmosphere. The dining room was once the premises of an export/import business served by the ships that would have unloaded in Perth in earlier centuries and the owners invested in wood paneling which a joy to behold. The couple who run the business are friendly... More

Travelled from Glasgow to have lunch here with relatives. Well worth the journey. We all had the festive menu which offered very good course choices. We all went a bit traditional and had the turkey ballotine as a main course which was ample in portion size and full of flavour. The accompanying vegetables were appropriately 'al dente' with crispy, delicious... More

It's not often I am exuberant about a restaurant. I love food and love eating out but I usually leave some space in my thoughts for improvement. Not so at North Point. I just cannot explain the experience well enough that would give you any idea just how good this gem of a restaurant is in reality. Whatever measure you... More

We eat out at a number of restaurants in Perth and we have to say this has become our favourite. I was prompted to write this review because I have just had the most flavoursome Christmas restaurant meal I can remember having. Situated in one of Perth's older buildings with low ceilings, it has a cosy atmosphere and is ideal... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our Saturday lunch at The North Port. Despite it being only two weeks to Christmas, the service and food were exceptional. I enjoyed a starter of smoke trout and opted for the festive option of turkey ballotine. My turkey came with some yummy sprouts and parsnips. My wife and mother opted for the non-festive "a la carte"... More

A late autumn break found us eating in Perth on two successive nights. This restaurant was an exceptional find - friendly, courteous staff, really good food and a buzzy atmosphere. It's not too big a restaurant, though, so important to book in advance.

We booked a table at the North Port for our first anniversary, the food here was really good but the service let it down a bit. I had the steak and my partner had the venison, the venison was the better of the two but both really tasty. The food itself came fairly fast but it took a while for... More

Cosy atmosphere immediately apparent on walking through the door assisted by low wooden beams. Candle arrangement around the fireplace set off the festive feel. Very friendly helpful staff. Very tasty appetisers. Delicious salmon starter, exceptional lambs liver followed by superb pear mousse. One of those rare occasions when there were no regrets with any of the three choices from the... More
