Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We're regular visitors. It is the best cafe in Perth. The staff are lovely and friendly. The food is cooked fresh. The prices are more than competitive in this economic crisis. The whole place is kept immaculate. We cannot recommend it strongly enough.More

A family day at the park and we needed somewhere to eat and something for everyone. After a quick internet search, the Mustard Seed popped up. It looked suitable online however exceeded expectations. The cafe was busy but found seats for our large group by...the sofas and tables. High chair available. They had a great choice of hot meals, soups and sandwiches. The sweet treats were of great portion size and reasonably priced! The staff were friendly and we didn't have to wait to long in a queue or for our food. Great offers for the kids in their meal deal or lunch deal. There was ample parking also. Would return again if in the area.More

Went to this restaurant today for the first time. Getting into the restaurant is easy as there are disabled spaces and the entry is up a small slope. My wife and I went to view the menu and after we had decided I went to...find a table. I am a powerchair user but my folding powerchair isn't very maneuverable. A staff member approached and asked if I was looking for a table for 2 or 4. He asked if the table I was beside would be OK. He guided me in place but my chair wasn't behaving. He moved the table to allow me easy positioning then replaced the table. He then explained where the disabled toilets were. The food appeared to be freshly made. The scampi was dry and crisp as were the chios. It was also hot. This restaurant gets a big thumbs up for not only the food but for their ability to understand disabled needs and their willingness to helpMore

Very disappointed with our visit today as it’s always been a nice place for lunch in the past. We ordered soup and sandwich at a cost of £8.95 each. The bowl of ‘chunky vegetable’ soup was very watery with just a few chunks of carrot...and some onion. This was served with a small egg sandwich which was nice and fresh and a roll with a cheese slice served with a side salad (a slither of tomato, a slither of cucumber and a forkful of lettuce) Hopefully this was a one off as it’s a nice venue with good parking and a nice little gift shop.More

Had lunch at The Mustard Seed for the first time since lockdown. Food fabulous as always. I was very impressed at the cleanliness and sanitisation that has been enforced due to Covid. There was a lady who was wiping down the tables, chairs and couches...once they had been vacated. The toilets are sanitised every hour and Perspex screens have been installed. The staff give you the cutlery, napkins etc. Every care has been taken to ensure a safe visit. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. Great food and a safe environment, what more could anyone want?More

We were looking for a cafe but found a lovely gift shop, clean cafe with very good prices, and unusual church. The pictures on the walls show the history. Toilets rivalled modern hotels.

And super filter coffee. The kids enjoyed a hot lunch with...ice cream and drink included. Next time we swim in Perth we’ll definitely be back.More

Let me get this off my chest, I hate the description of "High Tea", one of the most pretentious phrases in the English language, yet whilst unknown in the civilised world, it seems to be in usage on the fringes of the the Empire. So,...that said... I have eaten here on a few occasions and I really do like it. The food is standard fare but it's always been reasonable quality and is certainly good value for money. I must admit I find the starter of toast and jam, something I always leave, utterly bizarre, what's that about? So, probably a 3 and a half* rather than 4 but I'll be generous because of the staff. On a personal note, what a shame the delightful South African girl no longer works there.More
