Decided to have an impromptu lunch . Called in and picked the 'surprise' lunch menu £22.00 each. Starter was Mallard with pear and celeriac , followed by Beetroot risotto, with smoked beef . Main course was a pork chop, with pear and mustard , sweet was chocolate and coconut brownie with chocolate mouse, and peach. This does not do the... More

Very very bad. Always treat the other half to a Christmas meal (surprise restaurant). This has been the worst choice to date. £60/head for a five course meal?? No drinks in that price... Well except for a glass of bubbly. One course was a teaspoon of slop. Rank. ,£120 lighter and had to get chips on way home as was... More

We stopped in for lunch at this amazing restaurant and what a great experience it was. We had the 4 course mystery taster menu which at £22 was amazing value for money,we took the 4 course taster wine with this and Lucas really knows his wines. Tastefully decorated and a lovely atmosphere. Well worth a visit for a bit of... More

The staff were attentive and Lukas took the time to explain everything to us. He did have a bias towards the taster menu - rightly so! It has been a long time since we have enjoyed a meal so thoroughly. Scallop risotto was a special treat with Parmesan twirls. Closely followed by the divine smoked beef. I'm not entirely sure... My wife and I went to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. The booking system online was seamless and easy, once we arrived the staff were friendly and attentive. The waiter guided us through the option of the tasting menu as it wasn't instantly obvious it was an option. We decided to have the tasting menu along with the executive wine... More

For quality of food, this is the best restaurant in Perth by far. If this restaurant was in Edinburgh, it would have a Michelin star. Scallops with cider risotto were outstanding. The lamb rump with braised peas, and ribeye with béarnaise were also excellent. There are other good restaurants in Perth, so if you're here for a few nights try... More

Great location by the River Tay in Perth. The menu is drawn from seasonal British ingredients without being there. The service was a little over-enthusiastic and the taster menu was just drawn from the a la carte menu so nothing really special or surprising. That would have been fine but it was over-enthusiastically billed by the staff as being something... More

When you want to do something different that will stand in your memory, and the memories of friends for years to come, then look no further. This is the place for you. It is costly but unique. There were four of us and we went for the 'blind' 5 course option, with a different wine for each course. We enjoyed... More

Description
Perths 63 Tay Street is regularly billed as one of Scotlands top restaurants. Set in a typical imposing grey stone building, the small but perfectly formed dining room is pure elegance from soaring ceilings to polished wood floors. The menu is made up of British classics given a contemporary twist, so youll find your Aberdeen Angus served with an oxtail sauce and your Inverurie lamb rack, neck and shank may be served with traditional neeps, but youll also find chorizo mash on your plate. The use of fresh, local ingredients and fine produce sourced from further afield means that every dish promises to delight those tastebuds.
