On a cold winter day there a few pleasures better than sitting by the roaring log fire of this old coaching inn. Good food and excellent beer brewed in their own micro brewery. You may not wish to leave.

Have been visiting the Moulin for a few years. It is unusual. A warm welcome ,with real fires in winter. Real ale and real staff sometimes from the world, good conversation with the locals and good value pub food. As a Yorkshireman it may seem odd for me to rate a Scottish establishment highly , but I do and look... More

What a great find - visited here on Tuesday for lunch. A nice open fire greeted us next to the bar. Superb lunch, with the offer of a good selection of real ales. Dog friendly - good service - will be back .

Came recommended and so glad it was While staying local attended two days running and loved its olde world charm Great friendly staff who took time to speak as did all the customers in there They have their own micro brewery so sampled their beers and really enjoyed them The food was very good and plentiful There is open log... Good traditional pub with its own brewery and a short but varied menu. Our favourites are the Scotch Bunnet, Sporran of Plenty and of course the whisky sponge (certainly not one for the kids!). Also the Braveheart and Old Remedial ales plus our new favourite Black Bottle whisky. No doubt we will be back again next year!

I have to admit I did not linger. I walked into the reception area of the hotel side of this establishment by mistake - I am afraid it is urgently in need of a major makeover. A member of staff walked past me and ignored me completely. I then went into the Moulin Inn but was similarly uninspired although the... More

Visited here late on a Saturday afternoon and got a table despite it being busy. We ordered fish and chips and a panini and the staff were very accommodating when I asked for a filling that was not on the menu. Good service, good food and an open log fire which provided a cozy atmosphere. Would defiantly return.

We enjoyed a lovely meal on Saturday 24th Sept 2016. I was immediately taken with the building. I am rather annoyed to see some of the negative reviews. The Moulin Hotel does not claim to be a restaurant, hence not being able to pre-book tables which actually suited us. The food is far from what I would call 'pub' food... More
