Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very friendly and welcoming. The cake was amazing and lots of interesting things to buy. The owner gave us lots of information about the area and way of life on the island that enhanced our visit.

Great little place. Dog friendly, the people running the place spoiled the dogs rotten! Lovely people, fine soup and a roll and amazing Victoria sponge cake. None finer I would argue. Highly highly recommended.

The most amazing cafe on the island. You’ll find great cakes, a very sweet dog named Archie, and the nicest people. We highly recommend this place!

Just had a carrot cake somewhere else and I was so disappointed, it didn’t even compare to the carrot cake we had at the Wobbly Dog. As soon as i too my first bite of todays carrot cake, my life instantly flashed back to the...best carrot cake I have ever had (Wobbly Dogs). Sadly, todays cake just wasn’t the same, there’s nothing else for me to do but to go back to the Isle of Lewis for some more. Great little place, owners were lovely too!!m just wish they were open on Sundays 🤣More

Stopped while cycling the Hebridean Way. This is a quirky wee cafe with amazing food. We had the best rolls we've ever had - locally sourced black pudding/perfectly cooked eggs/Lorne sausage - and delicious cakes. The service was really friendly. Highly recommended.

Amazing service. It was nice to be back in what was the old Lionel shop. The food is outstanding with the fry up items sourced at the cross stores butchers. The carrot cake and cheese scones were amazing. My dog loved the barkfest breakfast. We...will certainly make a point of going back up to Ness to return for more cakes.More

For us the best cafe in all the Hebrides , well located at the top of Lewis not far from the Lighthouse. We came across it on the last day of a 2 week trip and can’t praise it highly enough So friendly(Yorkshire based hospitality),...a very quirky decor and such good food ( tasty bacon sarnie and a delicious coconut and lime cake) . Wouldn’t miss it if we were youMore
