My husband, myself and our wee mutt, on seeing outside tables, went in to ask if it was ok to eat outside as we had our dog. The woman serving didn't even give us the time to finish the question before she said " No dogs are allowed, remove your dog from the premises immediately." No pleasant manner just get... More

We arrived at the end of the road to see the most outstanding view, then we went into the cafe for lunch which was tasty, filling, and worth every penny and would return if up that way again

View was stunning...then all was downhill from entering the premises- not very customer service oriented. Would never go back

Great wee cafe with slow service which didn't really matter since it gave us more time to watch the great view from the restaurant over the cliff onto the sandy bay. Good respite from the wind and cold.

Literally at the end of the road. If we'd gone a week later it would have been closed for the season. Parking outside and great views out over the sea and harbour / beach. Good range of home bakes and nice coffee served. Many other specials and seasonal stuff on the menu. No wifi and little or no mobile signal... More

We heard about Sonas from local people. When we got to Ness, we decided to have lunch here before going on to see the lighthouse at the Butt of Lewis. We had the Lewis Langoustines and really enjoyed it. Service was good as well, very friendly. The surrounding area of Sonas in Ness is also well worth a a walk... More

Popped in here for coffee and possibly the biggest scone EVER! Homemade buttermilk scones were absolutely delicious, and the coffee was good. The view was what really made the place stand out from the rest though - stunning view of the beach.

The menu was different each time I visited. I had cod & chips and salmon & beetroot salad both of which were made to order & very fresh. The service one night was 2 young girls who ran the place very efficiently. Prices were mid range with only quibble being paying for an individual portion of sauce/mayo in a dish... More

I visited at lunchtime and found the place charming and bijou with spectacular views. Mid price range for meals and I tried the leek and vegetable tart which was tasty but had clearly been warmed up in the microwave and the salad portion was more of a side garnish. The lady that served me was friendly and polite. The coffee... More
