Called here for a late lunch while visiting the Butt of Lewis. A rather unassuming café on the edge of the old harbour. I had a vegetable and tomato soup - a very generous bowlful of hot, thick soup which tasted awesome. My wife had...More

I am a busy tourist guide researching places to take clients on Lewis and Harris and took refuge in this cafe to avoid a sharp shower of rain. Menu looked great plus good selection of freshly baked cakes on offer. Stunning location overlooking nice sandy...More

Arrived in Port of Ness, Lewis, as part of an exploration. Parked at Cafe Sonas just looking for a coffee. Had to wait until 12pm until it opened. One look at the menu and the coffee was off the agenda. We plumped for the monkfish...More

Slow service and average food, regrettably. Also, it was very hot and we couldn't open the door to the outside bit to get some cool air.

Lunchtime break after visiting the lighthouse. Nice views over the harbour. Great plates of prawns/langoustines to eat our way through. Service pleasant but needs a bit more refining/polish ( maybe just more experience) and would then fully justify the 4/5 at present probably nearer 3.5....More

Great sea views but a very restrictive menu so one of our party ended up with scones and jam! However, the other three of us enjoyed the meal and it was an inexpensive lunch in a pleasant environment.
