Excellent service and delicious food! I am vegetarian and quite fussy so I usually make some specific requests- they were all met. Curry was lovely and spicy. Nan bread was suitably well fired and tasty. Everything tasty lovely and fresh.

Our 2nd Visit to this restaurant and again only leads us to say, their will be a third. Lovely staff and a superb meal.
Bit of a mixed experience, Saturday evening dinner and place was quite empty, always find the food is good but staff seem disinterested in customers and took ages to get their attention to order and clear away, pity as the food is ok
Food was outstanding, we ordered a takeaway for the family which included some vegetarians and a vegan. Got something delicious for everyone, and still very warm when delivered! Our new favourite takeaway and restaurant. Faultless tasty and fresh food.
Food and service exceptional. The lady that served us , as I am not from Glasgow. She told the chef not to make my madras hot , hot as in Glasgow it would have been for me inedible. Many thanks for using your initiative. Reasonably...priced . Would highly recommend and will definitely be back when in the area .More
Eight of us met in Dumbarton and None of us had been to this restaurant before, indeed we were under the impression it was called " The One Up " but non the less the address is correct.. As a Group we all had Various...and Different Starters and Main Meals, and their was not any complaints, the Food was from start to finish of 5 Star Quality, and we shall shall have no hesitation of re-visiting in the future.. It was strange the place was quiet for such perfect food, but then we realised being a Thursday at 7pm may have something to do with that.. Certainly the best indian food ANY of us have had this side of Covid, that says it all. ExcellentMore
Visited a few weeks ago with my wife and wow!!! From the second we arrived until the moment we left this place, service and food were amazing. The garlic mushroom starter was delicious. The south indian garlic chilli lamb was absolutely fantastic and went great...with the mushroom rice. The lamb just melted away... so tender. I always thought naan bread was pretty much the same everywhere until i went here... again, wow! Unbelievable. Could easily sit with a plate of that naan on its own, delicious. After an experience like that it was impossible to stay away... and we didn't! Returned tonight with family for a table of 8. I had spent the last few weeks praising the food etc to my family and it certainly did not disappoint. Every dish was exceptional again from starters to sides and mains. Even the gulab jamun dessert was fantastic. Thank you so much for another incredible meal. We will definitely be back sooner rather than later! To sum up... Quite simply the best indian meal i have ever had... by a distance!!!More
My partner and I went here tonight for dinner. I've been to many Indian restaurants in London and Peterborough where I am from and they are nothing compared to this. I had the traditional curry with chicken tikka with plain naan bread. It really was...the best Indian cuisine I've ever had. The naan bread was the best I've tasted. The curry had a kick but just enough where it tasted fantastic. I would recommend the food and the service here. Absolutely brilliant. I will definitely be back.More
By far my favourite takeway. The food is consistenly superb. They do the best vegetable pakora with the lovely pink sauce! I frequently have a chicken tikka Rogan Josh which is absolutely delicious but I've also had the Mirchi Korma, Traditional Curry, Malaidar (all chicken...tikka) amongst other dishes and have never been disappointed. Delivery is usually within the hour and it's rare that you would wait much longer than this. The staff are really polite and friendly. My go to place when I can't be bothered cooking. Would definitely highly recommend to anyone.More
Had a lovely South Indian Garlic chilli here, lamb was on the chewy side but delicious nonetheless. Food was great and atmosphere was very relaxed. Many thanks to Raj, who was very cheery and helpful. Will definitely be back and highly recommend.
We have just been to the Bollywood lounge in Dumbarton. The staff are very attentive and their food is to die for. Their garlic nan bread is the freshest I've ever tasted and both our curries were amazing. We had the Balti vindaloo strength as...requested and their south indian garlic chilli . Wow both dishes amazing. Thank you so much for a great evening Bollywood lounge. We will deffo be back when up this way again.More
Worked up in this part of the world on several occasions, and as typical found this place on the final night of our final trip to Dumbarton, was better than the rest of the restaurant’s in the town!. Starter (mixed kebab) was immense.
Avoid at all costs. Found a very large piece of metal in my food which could have killed my kids myself or my wife, we were very very lucky. I received a nasty cut to my mouth and a burst tooth filling. Being going to...this Indians for years aswel attitude was disgusting and very disappointing shouldn't be severing and selling food with this attitude. I was called a liar and they denied all knowledge, liability also refused to refund my £27.50 keep it obviously the money was more important than health and saftey of my young family and me lucky to escape with my life.More
*TAKEAWAY ORDER* Hi Derek Thanks for your attempt at tarnishing our business after your failed attempt of trying to extort us. As I mentioned before, we cannot provide monetary value for something we cannot accept liability for. We did not once call you a liar....More
Place looks very drab with paint peeling off the ceiling in clumps. Restaurant smelt of stale cigarettes. Presumed it was the owner who served us but was very antisocial. Service very slow, got fed up of waiting Food - ordered Haggis Pakora, which was soggy....Spicy chicken Korma, it came out like wallpaper paste which was bland with chilli’s, thought Korma was supposed to be sweet and creamy with a nutty taste. Complained so the chef added ginger and garlic, sorry but no better at all. Most definitely the worst curry I’ve had ever. Only positive was the food was hot in temperature. Save your money and go elsewhere.More
Really impressed with the food and service at Bollywood lounge - highly recommended. We were a table of 6 and ordered various dishes, all were packed full of flavour and very tasty. We will definitely be back when next visiting the area.
