This was a lovely pub with options for quiet, private space. The staff was attentive and quick and the food was amazing! It was wonderful to sit and listen to music or strike up a conversation. The lighting and decor was comfortable and inviting.

Sunday lunch in the bar was memorable; lots of activity ranging from sports lovers discussing yesterday's team Ireland rugby victory, along with those coming from mass at the cathedral across the street. Our sandwiches were freshly made and excellent; soup wasn't ready at 11:45 when we sat down; then three servers came to tell us when the soup was ready.... More

We love this place! Great bar food, great pints, lively crowd. You have to time it right to gt a table as it can be quite crowded.

Met with cousins on a busy lunchtime, staff found us a table, food came very quickly, was piping hot and plentiful and full of flavour. Decor and ambience very traditional and lovely. Had a quiet nightcap in bar the night before, also lovely ambience.

You couldn't ask for friendly waiters. The place was filled with people and wonderful Irish music. Everyone seemed to be having a grand time and we certainly were. The waiters are very accommodating and responded splendidly to special requests. We will be back.

Sat at bar for lunch. Food was very good, service seemed indifferent. Slow to get attention at bar with wait staff coming and going behind it. Dark atmosphere probably works better at night.

Well worth a visit. The building itself is quite historical with explanatory pictures and text around the hotel outlining its history.

Had a lovely lunch with family member today. Beautiful tasty soup was served by friendly, efficient staff. As always we weren't put under any pressure to leave to free up table. Great menu, good value and special staff. Decor could be freshened up as it's a bit tatty in places. That said I'll be back.
