We hadn't been to a Chinese restaurant in years but visited here on a recommendation from a friend. Overall we were very impressed. The decor was very authentic Chinese and the staff very friendly and mostly Chinese from what we saw. The menu was a little different than a lot of other Chinese which was a pleasant surprise and The... More

I had occasion to visit this restaurant on my own recently and I was very impressed with the comfortable atmosphere, the good food and the speed with which it arrived at my table. I will definitely be back.

I'm not a big fan of Chinese food but this place would change anyone's mind. Real authentic feel about the place, very nice staff but, most importantly, great food

I had spent a long day in Cork on a hospital visit. Joyous occasion after the birth of my son. It was 9:30pm & ravenous, fancied Chinese. Following a TA search this place scored very well. Secured parking outside & went into the restaurant & it was packed. Didn't fancy my chances of getting a seat but asked anyway &... More

The waiter is super friendly but the waitress is kind of rude. The inside of the restaurant is beautilful. But the menu has very little variety, and the prices are a little above average. The quality of the food is pretty average as well. I had the roast duck with plum sauce : it was just what seemed to be... More

My last review of Yuan Ming Yuan was 3 years ago. Since my last review nothing has changed, the staff are all lovely and contrary to another review they all speak English there. Most if not all the staff are Chinese or of Chinese descent but I feel this adds to restaurant and makes the experience more authentic. Also, I... More

The food was terribly bad and the staff had such bad English it was impossible to communicate with them. Even when we found someone who understood they really did not care. We would not go back even if we were starving!!!!

nicerthan your average Chinese. Not outstanding, but enjoyable enough. Good service staff wise. Not too much of a fan on their desserts but otherwise, can't complain.. As in, I you're expecting a tke-away it's good.

This restaurant is simply outstanding and the best Chinese food I have ever eaten. It is so good that Chinese people eat there which is always a good sign The meals are large but you never feel stuffed which is sure sign that there is no MSG.
