To finish my review as I pressed the submit too early, for dessert we had affogato, chocolate molten cake and a frozen hazelnut mousse, all were so tasty and light. The whole bill came to 103e. Staff were really nice and attentive without being overbearing. Highly recommended again.

I'm so glad we have found this place! First things first service is second to none, (short haired) waitress is always smiley and pleasant. Food was incredible, one of our favorite meals ever! Squid and goats cheese for starters is just incredible. Pizza is real italian full of flavour, ravioli melts in tour mouth. They also use wild mushroom rather... More

Can't believe I've lived in Cork all my life & visited here for the first time tonight. Food is amazing, best pizza by far from four fussy pizza fans. Staff were really nice, place is very comfortable. I would highly recommend the place and will definitely go there again.

The restaurant is nice and the pizzas were good, but the young Italian lady working there is very rude and made our dinner experience kind of unpleasant.

We stopped in to have dinner as the restaurant was close to the hotel. My son loves pizza and was delighted to see the wood burning oven. I had pasta and my wife had sea bass. The staff were super helpful with my wife's dietary needs (lactose intolerance). The desserts were top notch. We would definitely go back.

After a long day of travel and rehearsals yesterday for a concert, myself and a bunch of friends needed to relax and have a feed. Dolce Vita is the nearest restaurant to where we're staying so we called in but didn't have any expectations. We were blown away by the freshness and flavour of our meals. The day's fish special... Dined here recently and I have to say it was just excellent, really fresh ingredients, flavours to die for, pizza base was incredible, crisp and light, calamari to start was excellent and the Chianti was the perfect temperature, could not fault this restaurant, lovely staff also. Well worth a visit.......try it for yourself.

Where do I start. My Wife and I and two of our dear friends came here for a meal last night. After 5 months of vacationing in Ireland, this was to be our last night out and we choose to spend it here. To start off, the waitress was very knowledgable and courteous to boot. We all had lovely starters(I... More

I love good italian food - and It's hard to find a restaurant where the pasta is cooked al dente, the sauces are full bodied and freshly made; and the selection of cheeses complements the food perfectly. What a pleasure to find a great italian restaurant within a short distance from the Hayfield Manor in Cork City. The service was... More

Real Italian food at La Dolce VitaAuthor: Louise CashellCork recently welcomed a brand new Italian restaurant, La Dolce Vita, located on Proby's Quay. Although the business is only in its starting stages, La Dolce Vita, is quickly gathering a reputation for its 'real Italian food'.Some of this noteworthy food includes the pizzas, which are cooked on a brick oven, the only one of its kind in Cork. At La Dolce Vita, only the best and freshest ingredients are used and all pasta is made on site at the restaurant. The restaurant can cater for large bookings and would be an ideal venue for office Christmas parties. The romantic and friendly atmosphere only adds to the rustic, Italian vibe of La Dolce Vita who offer a variety of excellent Sicilian wines to accompany the wonderful dishes that are prepared by Sicilian chef Paolo Perrone.
