This is the place you go to be transported back to your nanny's kitchen in the 80's. 3 course meal for something like €13-€14 euro. You'll find bacon, cabbage and spuds on the menu. The dessert menu seems to be limited to: rice pudding, apple tart with cream, or jelly & ice-cream. This is not fine dining, but I would... More

Firstly I want to get the negatives (and I use that loosely) over with because it's only the decor and cutlery etc. In one sense it needs a revamp. But that's just being superficial! I don't want it revamped-I appreciate this Cork institution for what it is down to the patterned plates & stainless steel dessert bowls Everything else is... More

Our concern about the slightly tired decor was short lived and the service was attentive and very friendly. The food was plentiful, well cooked and very tasty. Their Eve's Pudding was to die for. We will definitely be visiting again when we are next in Cork

For €14 per person you can get a 3 course meal. We started with mushroom soup which was good but salty. We had the pork chop. It came with mashed potatoes, carrots, string beans, apple sauce and gravy. It was okay. For dessert we had rice pudding and it was served hot which was different because I always had this... More

While shopping in town with my mum we decided to go for lunch in Kelly's. The stairs was a bit awkard for my mum but she managed it. The restaurant was busy with mostly middle aged people. The menu was very good with a good choice and well priced. I had the stew and my Mum had the bacon and cabbage.... More

We had the most delicious lunch at Kelly's. We enjoyed the local feel and friendliness of the waitresses. The food was delicious! I couldn't believe the amount of food we ate for lunch.

A weird and particular restaurant, beside a night club. Atmosphere is very informal, i might say "poor", cuisine is traditional. We tried the mixed grill, also in this case it was a little bit “poor” and simple…In addition, and I consider this very strange, they don’t serve alcohol at all, not even beer!!! So I wouldn’t recommend it, except for... More

We thought we had made a mistake when we walked in; there were only very old people. The waitress was helpful and friendly, and the food was good! We had a good lunch there, didn't really expect much, but it was worth it, and even though the place didn't look that fancy. We just needed a quick lunch and that's... More
