A truly wonderful restaurant. Excellent delicious food, with a French flair and of a very high standard. (The Foie Gras is amazing!) Fabulous wines served perfectly, professionally & with flair. Friendly, efficient staff. A gem in Cork city. The perfect treat for any occasion.

After putting it on the long finger for ever and ever, we finally ate here last October. Overall, pretty impressed with the food. It's not crazy expensive but it's certainly not cheap and is at the upper end of the Cork dining scene (at least for us). The food did mostly justify this but parts of the premises did look... More

My wife and I dined there on New Years Eve. Food and service was excellent but price at €65 per person for 3 course meal was unexpectedly expensive.

Booked this as our big night out. French restaurant with great ambience. Interesting menu with a lovely selection for both starters & mains. Food was delicious perfect portions all main course were delicious. We had a selection of desserts to share which were scrumptious. Service was a bit slow but wasn't an issue as we were not in a hurry

I visited with 5 friends for a nice meal and a catch up. The decor was beautiful and the atmosphere was cosy and relaxing. The menu was tasteful, and our vegetarian and celiac friends were catered for. Our only issue was a mistake of an over charge of over €50 on our bill. It was 'rectified', but still not accurate.... We had a special menu for an event, and the food was French interpretation of the local food. Very tasty and presentation was A class.

My wife and I ate at Les Gourmandaises on the evening of November 1st, 2016. The restaurant was about half full, probably because it was a Tuesday in early November. We decided to go for the Special Meal for Two: Tapas and main course with a glass of wine. One small irritant here - we were not told what the... More

How to start, we booked a table for 5, got the menu with two 2 courses for about 40 euros, the only good food there was the ... the salmon, that they probably just had to remove from a plastic wrapping and present "nicely" on a fancy plate. That's about it, the service was awful, the duck was dry and... More
