This property has a stunning location and one of the best parts of the meal is sitting in the conservatory having a coffee after the meal looking out to sea. Usually this place is a 'once a year' treat because its not cheap, but at the moment they have a special Sunday Menu at 25€ for 4 courses. It is... More

We love this restuarant but were a bit disappointed today in the Sunday Lunch. It is advertised at 25 euro but any of the interesting items on the menu have a £5 surcharge ( starters included) which in reality can make the lunch 35 euro or more. We paid the supplement for the small monkfish and prawn starter which was... More

From the impression I get from the lack of choice on the lunch menu here (on a Saturday by the way) lunch is not rated as a proper time to eat food. The evening menu is the priority here. I can only base my review on what we had and the choices on offer. From the fairly limited lunch menu... More

We were in this place few days ago. The hotel is really peaceful and the rooms are clean and spacious. Eating here is a special moment, the food is exquisite. The "signature" course is really enjoyable !!! Many thanks to all the staff who made our stay a beautiful experience. Mention spéciale au briviste Antoine pour une cuisine inventive et... More

We visited this wondeful hotel for lunch last Sunday - it was a wonderful experience with mouthwatering dishes. The service was excellent, the view fantastic. A special word to Emmett, TJ & Dylan who looked after us so well. Emmett, the fish-cake was delicious. Looking forward to going back as they have new menus. Well worth the visit. Congratulations to... More

Antoine Minelli just took over as chef de cusine at Castle Murray. This place was great - now it's fantastic! Antoine trained at Brive la Gaillarde and recently worked as sous-chef at The Lodge at Ashford Castle. Now he hopes to take Castle Murray to new culinary levels. Yes, they still do the best prawns and monkfish I've ever tasted.... More

We had breakfast twice and Evening Dinner on one occasion in this renowned restaurant (as hotel guests). At dinner, we only had two courses (a main and a dessert) as the starters were mainly "fish based" and our taste in fish is limited. My wife and I both had lamb. This was presented separately as "shoulder" of Lamb and "Loin".... More

Castle Murray prides itself on its dedication and passion to achieving a consistently high quality dining experience. Our Head Chef Remy Dupuy, who has worked in Castle Murray since 1995, is well renowned for using the best of locally sourced produce to create dishes that once enjoyed will have you planning your next trip back to Castle Murray.

Our evening dinner menu showcases the passion and talent of Remy and his team while giving the customers a gastronomic experience that is often mimicked but seldom equalled. Great care and attention to detail is given to the design, creation and delivery of each dish on the menu, which reflects the dedication and desire for greatness which motivates Remy and his team. If you haven't already heard about our House Special dish 'Prawn and Monkfish', then it is a must have. A dish so good it should have its own Appreciation Society!

The dining room is refined yet comfortable, with a warm and welcoming ambiance that surrounds you once you enter the room. The striking views of St. John's Point and its natural beauty can be enjoyed throughout the dining room. Our restaurant has the added bonus of having a beautiful open fire, which in the winter, when the fire is roaring creates a warm and homely atmosphere that is much sought after on dark winter nights.

Through the direction of the General Manager Marguerite Howley and our Maitre d'Hotel Fabrice Costes, a commitment to a professional and personable service is guaranteed to you.

Along with our evening dinner menu, we offer a mouth watering 5 course Sunday Lunch that is extremely popular with people far and near. And if that hasn't tempted you 'foodies' out there then we are pleased to tell you that during the summer months we have a gourmet bar lunch menu available and an absurdly delicious and decadent Afternoon Tea service that is sure to tantalise those taste buds.
