Very helpful staff giving us ideas where to go and what to do. Slightly overpriced but given its location right in the middle of town that's not too surprising. Very good sized rooms and breakfast was a good mix of buffet and cooked to order.

My partner and I came in here quite late one night for a quick latte before the drive home. We left over 90 mins later! Totally lost track of time.. and it was so comfortable, with a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Toilets extremely clean i noticed.. always a plus in my book.

We recently stayed here for 3 nights, for a special birthday treat for my wife. On arrival they had arranged for a complimentary upgrade from a standard double, to an executive room, which was a nice touch. They also arranged for some lovely chocolate treats to be sent to our room on the first day. All the staff were nice... More

The food we had dinner and breakfast, was outstanding, the staff, all very helpful and accommodating. We met very nice local people here who frequent the hotel and restaurant because they also love it as much... More

Convenient Historic with overwhelming size of library. A lot to be seen, hundreds of shops and bars that are a hundred years old. Keep your rain gear close for unpredictable weather

One night stay. Our room was small but clean. Needed an extension cord for our room and housekeeping brought it quickly and were very helpful. Service and good at breakfast was top notch. Would recommend this hotel highly.
