Beautifully decorated place during Christmas time. Very cute fireplace to sit by. Friendly staff and the food is really good. Had the haloumi and butternut squash salad which was very tasty and cooked exactly right.

I have been a couple of times to the Bank and I it was always a good experience. The place used to be a bank and it still keeps the original structure, which makes it really special. I love it! The menu is not huge, but it is ok, and the food is good quality and reasonable priced. You can... More

Very pleasant bar restaurant. We had to sit at the bar it was so crowded but worth it. Our bartenders were pleasant and took time with us even though they were busy they explained the difference in our beers. We ordered our food from their suggestions and we were pleased. We thought the place was very chic

Having been a bank before, the inside has a super luxurious feel to it. The atmosphere gives you a posh experience, very nice really. The place is mostly packed, so you might have to wait around to get a table. Depends as well if you want to have drinks or food as well. It is on the pricey side, but... More

As said, the piano player at night keeps the place humming along. A smallish menu but everything done well - 4 of us on two different nights and no complaints at all. The service is friendly even though they're always busy. This is a popular place so bookings are advised, though we just turned up twice and waited at the... More

Very cool old bank that was converted to a restaurant. The seafood tower was fantastic as was the seafood chowder. We ate at the bar and the staff were all great about answering our questions as to places in Ireland to visit. Would definitely go back.

We found this restaurant on Trip Advisor before traveling to Dublin and we were not disappointed. It was fantastic! First of all, it is a beautiful space. It was a former bank. We sat at the bar and the bartenders were great! Very friendly and made nice recommendations. We shared seafood chowder to start. It was a bit too creamy... More

Have been here for drinks only. Love the place. The guys behind the bar are knowledgeable, skillful and friendly. The cocktails are really great - try the smoky old-fashioned. Love the decor and layout - the stained glass ceiling and wooden elements are beautiful.

Very busy restaurant with a great atmosphere on a Saturday match afternoon. Food is excellent value and our French waitress was extremely pleasant. Would definately return.

This place was recommended so we booked a table on the mezzanine whilst on a weekend in Dublin. The service was great and the food superb. There was 9 of us and most chose the roast beef, which came served on a wooden slabs. Thick slices of beef cooked as we requested with fresh vegetables and roast potatoes and extra... More

Hi Gary,

Firstly thanks for you custom with us, this 'review' came as a major shock to us all in The Bank and we feel it imperative to respond (again) to you about the issues brought up. We after reading the comments spoke to all staff concerned and also went through tthe cctv as we were shocked as to how such a situation could occcur. Having contacted you privately and trip advisor since we are also a bit bemused by the whole situation. It is noted you arrived in to The Bank during a busy evening/night in December, you had no reservation (unfortuantely) you and your girlfriend were informed we were fully booked in the restaurant but could accommodate you for a 45 mins sitting only (we could have said it wasn't possible but try to accomodate all customers where possible), you both said you were more than happy with the arrangement (you have since clafified this). Thi is obviosly where we have a bone of contention with yourselves as you had agreed to a 45 minute window for food, (we had another group booked in) you had your food, you were given extra time to enjoy the food, you did mention the food was beautiful which is much appreciated, you were given extra time to finish your meals (an extra 28 mins according to our cctv) so you had a total of 68 mins after you agreeing to 45, we feel we went above and beyond the call of duty and had a large group waiting patiently for their tables in the main bar, We are not sure what more is expected of us? you have mentioned the food was 'brilliant' the service was great and your gripe seems to be the timings, which you both agreed to (without a booking 45 mins and were given 68 mins) We are literally at a loss as to how we could have done anything differently. This has all been explained to you (who has previously never had a review on this 'site' before) and to Trip Advisor who seem to dissociate themselves from all 'reviews' by putting a disclaimer at the end of all 'reviews' stating

'This review is the subjective opinion of a TripAdvisor member and not Tripadvisor LLC' What more could have been done for you and your girlfriend we are at a complete loss? Possibly in future you could possibly make a reservation so you wont be under any time constraints and we will do our upmost to provive 'brilliant food and great service' again,We have very hard working team in The Bank and we do our utmost to accommodate all customers where possible, sites like this leave us all quite disgruntled, we can't be perfect all the time but do our best at all times where possible. It is impossible to know how to respond to such comments on sites like these but many thanks again for your custom!
