We visited on February 17, 2017 @ 1800 Returned to Dublin and couldn't wait to go back to The Brazen Head to try Bangers and Mash. My first go 'round I had the burger (with onion rings) and was pleasantly surprised as both sandwich and side were delicious! Friends had gotten Bangers and Mash and said their dish was also... We walked by here earlier in the day and wondered if it was really the oldest pub in Ireland and after a trip to Newgrange the next day, we were told that it was and that the pub food was good for pub food. So we went and enjoyed our stop. I mean, who doesn't want to have a Guinness... More

This is marketed as "Ireland's oldest pub" and has so much character and charm. We visited in February and they had closed off one of their main rooms for refurbishment so there were no tables when we arrived. The staff were very quick and efficient at getting food out and clearing tables so we weren't waiting long. We ordered the... More

Interesting labyrinth of rooms with live music. Atmosphere was fine but the food was underwhelming. I expected more from a place that noteworthy.

Took a group of visiting Americans here and the place lived up to my previous visits. Lovely but reasonably simple and good quality irish food. Friendly and very efficient staff and best of all old and quirky which makes it a wonderful place to head to with friends or alone. Also a great place to visit in the evenings when... More

We stopped here as we were going to a gig in the Voodoo Lounge opposite it across the Liffey. It is a nice walk from the Halfpenny Bridge down towards Heuston Station (that would be the direction you're going) and its up on the left at the traffic lights opposite the last bridge before you get to the station. It... More

We went to Dublin the last week in january, together with friends. This was because of the Trad fest, and we loved it. We have been visiting Brazen Head, Dublins oldest pub before, so this time we wanted our friends to experience this nice spot. We went there two times, one just for a beer, the second for Irish breakfest.... More
