We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Mister S. The food and cocktails were delightful. My only complaint would be that our hotel room didn’t have a refrigerator for us to take the leftover portion back with us to enjoy the next day 😉 Your portions...are plenty big, a few of the dished could have been shared.More

You need to persist to get a booking , but our long anticipated dinner at Mr S was worth it. It’s not a fancy place, but it serves terrific food (octopus is not a regular starter on Dublin menus, but I love it) and the...fire grilled beef dishes we ordered were outstanding. So was the friendly staff AND the prices (€116 for two courses incl seafood starters, two beef mains, two veg sides, a glass of Prosecco & 3 glasses of wine.) Generous portions meant we even brought home a doggie box & bag for our pooch! Looking forward to our next visit…there’s a gorgeous looking range free grilled pork chop I want to try!More

We had high expectations, given the excellent reviews. But still, we were blown away by our dinner. My rendang roll and pork chops were sublime - both recommended by the lovely Kiera, who looked after us brilliantly. All the staff were very engaging and friendly....That and the simple but effective decor made for an excellent vibe. Will make it a priority to return if we’re ever back in Dublin!More

This is a hidden gem in the heart of Dublin. The perfect mix of excellent food, professional and friendly staff and a really good atmosphere. Everything I've tried from the menu so far had been top quality.

Wow this was a terrific experience. I arrived early hoping I could get a table, thankfully I did. The food is so delicious I asked them to advise what to eat and drink. Suggest you book or go early but eat there. You will not...regret it! Service was excellent as well. Highly recommendMore

Visiting from NYC and booked Mister S for first dinner in Dublin with husband. Reviews are spot on that ambiance and service are top notch, but we felt that the food was just a little too salty. Ordered: prawn toast for app (10/10); roasted celeriac...(6/10, celeriac and accompanying sauces were way too salty) and ribeye steak (8/10, great flavor but a little too salty for our taste) for entrees; broccolini with furikake and miso dressing for side (8/10, similar grill/char flavor as celeriac and steak and little too salty for our taste); and chocolate mousse for dessert (8/10, salt crystals on mousse were good but our taste buds were already overstimulated by the salt content in the earlier dishes).More

What an absolutely lovely place to eat. This restaurant is situated a short distance from the centre and was well within walking distance. My partner had done some research and booked this place for my birthday during our trip to Dublin and I cannot thank...her enough for picking this place. We were seated in a lovely booth and staff were so friendly and welcoming. After looking at the menu I was unsure what "Rendang" was and asked the server, Rebecca, who gave me a deep knowledge of the food. Telling me how it's made and basically takes around 40hours to make. After hearing how "Burnt End Rendang Spring Rolls" were made we had to order one each for starters. Oh how I was so glad we did, had she shared this I would have been disappointed to not be having both spring rolls. These tasted absolutely amazing and probably the best thing I ate the whole trip. It was full of flavour, spicy in the right way and I would have these again in a heartbeat. For mains I ordered the "Grilled Pork Chop, Sticky Glaze", which was cooked to perfection. The meat was mouthwateringly good, presented on the plate already cut with the bone to one side which would benefit some pickier diners. The glaze complimented the meat and was sweet enough. My partner ordered the "Herb Chicken, Harissa Jus, Labneh" which I was grateful enough to try and it was so soft. The meat was gorgeous, cooked to perfection, held its juices and again.. was so soft! very tasty! Overall I cannot rate this place enough!! It is a small very cosy restaurant where you can view the kitchen from where you sit. The food is cooked on an open fire and all the servers and staff were full of personality. Giving you the best welcome and 'family feel' you could ever ask for. Seeing as it was my birthday I was treated to a Polaroid taken by the staff which was a really nice touch to top the evening. A token to take away from the night. Make sure you book in advance and this is a must when travelling to Dublin. You are asked to order at least two courses and when the food is as good as we had this is no difficult feat. I cannot thank Rebecca enough for being so welcoming and interacting with us so well. All the chefs and staff show clear talent and passion for their food and well worth a visit.More

We had dinner here on a recent business trip to Dublin. This place offers OUTSTANDING food if you LOVE meat. I cannot put into words how scrumptious the food is! All the starters were magnificent but there has to be special love shown to the...spring rolls. Holy crap it’s unlike any sting roll I’ve ever had! All 6 of us were floored by how good it was! We had all the starters and between us we tried all the mains too. My personal favourite was the sirloin but the group I was with waxed lyrical about the pork too. I enjoyed the caramel desert but half of our group had the rhubarb and found it to be tremendous. This place is definitely one to visit with friends or even for business as we did. It’s got a cool ambiance, nice decor and really warm and professional staff. Our server was a lovely American lady from New Jersey who was incredibly informative, warm, professional and funny. She steered us in the right direction in terms of portions, what to order and was always there when we needed anything. A special thank you to her… unfortunately I forgot to get her name but she was wonderful and memorable.More
