Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a brilliant afternoon at the Old Storehouse. Brilliant live music, very high standard pint of Guinness and great laugh with the barman Kyle

Bad behavior No one was interested, poor behavior. Didnt feel welcome at all. Funny manager 🤡 just bland…. but missing the right people. This is a tourism trap, with a Staff with poor behavior. The food horrible, it was a great place long time ago’…..won’t...come back.More

We went to this bar to sample some traditional Irish music, however we went to the 1st floor and had the good fortune to watch a singer called Jake Suleman. Folks this guy is probably the best entertainer I’ve seen in many years, he was...simply outstanding. It was very busy but it was easy enough to get served pretty quickly, and the Guinness was very good..More

Dinner at The Old Storehouse restaurant in Dublin, in the heart of Temple Bar, was a real treat. The ambience was cozy and welcoming, and the staff was very friendly and attentive. The menu offered a wide variety of dishes, from traditional Irish specialties to...healthy options. The restaurant was also very clean and well organized, which made the visit even more enjoyable. In addition to the cozy ambience, there was also the grandiose, atmospheric live music. We were able to enjoy the food and the atmosphere on two evenings.More

Fantastic Irish food. The live music was great to sing along to! Our daughter is vegan, and they had a separate vegan menu. 🙌. Many wonderful Irish beers on tap! And we got seated immediately with excellent service. Bravo!!

Amazing music, perfect Guinness and the food is traditional and brilliant, we booked our first night for food and came back for our last night as we’d left it open so we could make a choice on where to go, we came back for more.

I don't think this pub needs more reviews, but I'll do it anyway. Warm and accomodating atmosphere, the staff is skilled and fast, despite this place can get packed with people. We've been here two consecutive nights, because the food is great and there's live...music that engages everyone, giving a festive and joyful air in the whole pub. You can stay in the ground floor if you want to fully dive yourself in the Irish pub experience, singing live traditional or famous cover songs along with all the other costumers, or get to the upper floor if you need a bit more peace and if you want to chat. Finally, the food. We tried the casserole, the cottage pie and the Irish pork and apple pie, but what we loved most was the fish and chips, probably the best one we've ever eaten. The soup of the day was heartwarming, but I'm sure you can't go wrong ordering anything from the menu. I'd really love a place like this in my hometown.More

Mixed review - best bit - the atmosphere. The live music and singing was really great. The Guiness was delicious. The soup of the day and the chowder were great. Only issue was the fish n chip mains. The cod wasn't great at all. tasted...more like Capt Birds Eyes frozen box fish than something home made. The mushy peas resembled more of a splat on the plate than a portion, but the little we had were nice, just not enough of them. The chips were excellent. At €22.95 each it should have been top drawer with the fish being the star turn!More

Located in the middle of Temple Bar area, among other pubs, restaurants and bars. The place was recommended by our "Free walking Tour" guide, so all of us entered the packed place for a quick beer at noon time. In a few minutes we were...holding our cold pints, stepping towards the patio. Happy (and noisy) atmosphere. We had a great beer break. RecommendedMore

My friend and I were looking for dinner and we came to this restaurant after hearing the music playing from outside. We were sat right away, even with the place being very busy. There was a band playing and they were fantastic and had everyone...in the place singing along. It took about 15 minutes for waiter to come to table to take order, no problem. Ordered Guinness and fish and chips. We have had MUCH better fish in the states. The fish here was fishy- tasting and smelling. The fries were good however. Tarter sauce was just ok, have had better. Beer was good! I would have definitely preferred to eat somewhere else and just come for drinks and music.More

The Irish Stew was very poor! The broth tasted like it had been made from a stock cube! The bread was tasty. The following night went to The Shack and had excellent Irish Stew.

We ate here as a family group with my 88 year old mother. On arrival they quickly cleared a table for us given my mother's limited mobility walking with a stick. Waitress service was prompt. Drinks arrived before the meal and food was quickly served...and was piping hot. The bar serves Irish classics like cottage pie, beef stew and bangers and mash. We had the West of Ireland fish chowder served with soda bread which was excellent, and the bangers & mash were equally tasty. Continuous live music from I''m guessing a Portuguese guitar player - a blend of pop classics from the past 40 years. Excellent performance but if one thing disappointed I'd have hoped for a few more Irish ballads. Our server Monika was very attentive and I'd certainly return for the food, atmosphere and of course local Guinness.More
