On Grafton street this cafe is hidden away up a winding stair above a small grocery store. It looks rather shabby but the staff are welcoming and the food is varied and tasty. It is a popular haunt with the locals who pop in for their mid morning snacks and lunch breaks every day.

Great Irish breakfast at a very reasonable cost. One could easily miss this gem as it's an upstairs restaurant at the rear of a Newsagents. The young, friendly staff were competent and service was swift. Great meeting place also.

I visited the Loft Cafe once and won't return again. I ordered a chicken sandwich and ended up with food poisoning for 2 days. I was extremely ill. A friend of mine went back to discuss it with a member of staff as I was too sick to travel back into town and the staff member said there was nothing... More

Went here for breakfast and other than one other chap we were the only customers. Staff didn't seem particularly interested and while the food was good enough and was reasonably priced it didn't exactly leave us feeling we had to go back.

The vegetable soup tasted of nothing more than a bowl of Luke-warm watery liquidised carrots. It was truly horrible. The bread served with it was soft and fresh and the staff were friendly but I will never go here again!

We just popped in here to grab a bite - it's a great place for a good-sized, reasonably priced full breakfast. The rest of the food looked good too and the staff were very friendly.

It was pretty early and we had decided that rather than breakfast in our hotel we would walk into the centre of Dublin and see what was on offer... The Loft is over the top of a grocery and provisions store and not that obvious. Just some basic signage at street level which unfortunately is probably all too easy to... More

This hidden gem is well worth a visit and is a nice cheap and cheerful break from expensive eats-out in Dublin! Would definitely recommend their paninis, or the Little Italy tomato tortilla wrap. Simple and delicious for less than 5 euros.

With Bewley's closed for renovation I tested this place based on a Irish blog "Dine In Dublin - 18 Places to Get Breakfast in Dublin". Yes you get breakfast. And the price is OK for what you get on that location. And the people are very friendly. But don't expect something great or too fancy, if you're looking for an... More
