Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Extreemly enjoyable 3-course meal for 2. Warm welcome by the "desk hand" on arrival. Excellent, unobstrusive service by Lisa and colleague throughout the meal. All our courses were excellently cooked, and good portions: Fish soup (aka chowder) starter, rib eye streak, Lamb Rump, House Ice...cream and Calypso coffee to finish. Wine list not the most extensive or exciting but acceptable and reasonably priced. The overall premises was well patronised on the Thursday evening we dined. A good few iners having a pre-theatre meal like ourselve and a large crowd of people in the bar and upper desk area.More

Outstanding, food, service, atmosphere & location. superb. Totally recommend to all & will certainly return. The Crab starter is out of this world delicious with delicate flavours, we got extra toast to share

Dined in the bar area of the boat with family hoping for a nice view of river activity. Although the food was very good, there was virtually no river activity (a few rowboats). Service and prices were fine. Had it to do again, although I...enjoyed our meal here, I'd dine elsewhere if I could find a nicer setting.More

Walking around the area near our hotel caused us to run into this restaurant. It is a boat in the river Liffe that is anchored. It OSS not floating so it doesn’t rock when you are on it. The wait staff was so friendly! We...had the crabmeat starter. We followed with salad, the sea bream and I had the hamburger. The food arrived piping hot! The Guinness pours were excellent! A great time out!More

Avarage place and avarage food. Quite disappointing experience. The staff was lovely but only one waiter at the restaurant.

We booked dinner for our staff summer social, a set menu for 18 people. 5 people couldn't make it due to illness and childcare issues. We were charged for their meals, told that a table has be held for them which was not true because...they were informed of the number of people coming as soon as we had the information and, in any case the restaurant was by no means full. They charged us €200 for the no-shows and then added a €100 "service" charge. Such a rip off.More

There were 6 of us and we dined in the main restaurant. I have been coming here for years but this was the first time I reserved a table for a meal. The service was so good and the staff were very friendly and adaptable...to any requests. The food was excellent and there is a really good selection. My only issue was that the food was quite expensive . The wings , bouillabaisse and shirt rib for starters were really good. The lamb as a main was very good and the Pomme Anna . I was told that the fish and chips , spring roll ring were delicious. The beef burger was the one dish that was not too impressive. I loved the chocolate brownie but I’d recommend it be served warm. Overall, I love the meal and I highly recommend.More

I'm still thinking of the sauce my husband had with the shirt rib last night. Can't praise the food highly enough. Everything!!!! I hate beetroot and carrots. I ate them both!!!! The blending of flavours, without overpowering anything. Only missing thing was non alcoholic wines...- try hollow legs! Food price ranges to suit everyone and all the food cooked as if it was the most expensive dish on the menu. Perfect in every way. Including the staff and that fabulous big bouncer on the deck!!!!!More

For something different why not dine on a moored boat? It was a great experience to navigate the boat to get to where we eating. The layout is great for the space available. The staff made sure to come over to check out how our...decision process was going and weee able to answer all our questions. Food was great value, large portioned and well priced. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meals and loved the taste and freshness. Great spot on your way to the 3 Arena or for a different experience.More

It is interesting to be on a boat to have a meal (for those who have never done this before), but I found the food extremely expensive and not extremely high quality, it was just good. Drinks were also way above Dublin price (which is...already expensive). With that, I concluded that to have this experience, it was better to just go have one drink, walk around the place, take some pictures and leave.More

The food, service and atmosphere was all fantastic. We all had a range of mains between us and not one fault in any of them. The staff were incredibly friendly and you really get what you pay for. Highly recommend.

Great food and pleasant service in a really nice setting. Got the fish and chips while my boyfriend got the spicy chicken salad and both were excellent. Seating arrangement was perfect with great views of the Liffey.

It can be really busy in the evening as it is also a bar. However when we ate there it was about 5pm and we were the first there. Also there is a restaurant on board which is more formal/quiet. It could also be good to ask... More
