We went with a local Dubliner. He had the steak and Liz and I sampled several of the appetizers. A great mix of eclectic samples. The beer and mixed drink selection was very good. Service was a tad slow but the food was worth it.

We went in for a late snack and ordered a shrimp and sweet potato and carrot and parsnip dishes. Both were excellent! Our server, Lyndsey, was attentive and kept my water glass filled, a kind act as I am always on the verge of dehydration...More

This has to be one of my favourite restaurants in the world. The steak is amazing and at a very reasonable price. The million dollar fries have to be tried.

Four words; way too much salt. I don't know why, but there is this new trend where hip new restaurants over salt everything. Wife ordered the grilled chicken which had a dry rub on it that was way too salty. We had to send it...More

I visited bear for the second time on my recent trip to Dublin. The menu is all about the meat -- well prepared and tasty meat. The atmosphere is young and hip. Recommended!

This was recommended by work colleagues. We agreed with their views - we visited twice on a 5 day work trip to Dublin!!! The food was brilliant, homemade lemonade.... with vodka went down a treat, staff friendly. The seats aren't the most comfortable - they...More

Visited Bear last weekend with my girlfriend in Dublin, found it whilst searching for the best steakhouse in Dublin. Bear was by far the cheapest steakhouse I could find and liked the idea that they specialised in different cuts of meat. My gf and I...More
