Visited after a few pints with friends around midnight on a Saturday. The food was very bland with hardly any meat on the bone. Probably the worst Indian I've tasted including ready made super market ones. Worst Tandoori mixed grill I've ever had! Poppadoms were of the cheap variety and smashed into crisps when we picked them up. Naan seems... More

Okay, it's for after pub hours curry... So what are you expecting? It's average stuff. Place full of revellers, if you've a few beers on you then you'll blend in, don't think of frequenting during regular hours.

This is great restaurant with very nice food, attentive wait staff and quiet. I had one of the nightly specials that consisted of chicken tikka, lamb korma and rice and it was delicious. If you are in the Temple Bar area and fancy something different from the usual pub fare and atmosphere then pop into Shan's for a wonderful Indian... More

The food here was really good, the best Korma I've had and my 3 companions said the same too. Unfortunately the interior of the restaurant does not make you feel like staying... Not very clean, don't look at the staircase walls going down to the awful toilets.. Haven't a clue when they were last cleaned.. Not sure I could go... More

Our group of five, love Indian food and Shan was a real find. The outside really doesn't look great and we nearly walked past but we gave it a try and were so pleased that we did. The food was wonderful and plentiful too. We have promised to return here very soon.

I went here around 12 midnight after several drinks. From what I remember the food was ok, the wine not so much. Typical Indian fare, nothing special. It has a reputation as somewhere good to go at around 2 or 3am. Does that say it all?

We came here after watching a show at the Olympia theatre. A very warm and welcoming greet and nice food. We enjoyed it. It is just average though compared to other places we have been to. It suited what we were looking for brilliantly.

Some of the food was really tasty, we shared a mixed platter starter, which I can highly recommend. The lamb madras was rich in flavor but our other main from the chefs specials we found weak and lacking in depth of flavour, fortunately we asked if this dish could be done with chicken tikka so got some flavour from that.... Recent visit with friends. No other customers when we arrived (although it was on a Monday evening). Floor was filthy; not real coke or Pepsi. Peshwari nan was average but the best thing to eat. Poor tasting curry. Couldn't wait to leave.
