We’ve always loved dropping into Mugs following a ramble on the hill, and last Saturday was no different. The café wasn’t too busy and we sat down on the long bench that is at the bottom of the stairs. Our coffee and toasted scones were delivered quickly and we started to tuck in. We both commented on how small the... More

If you love your coffee and appreciate the expertise that goes into making good coffee, Mugs is for you. They know their stuff. And the coffee is delicious. Yes, they do provide food of the sandwich and cake variety and some good soups. But coffee is the main event. And from the queue that stretches out the door in the... More

At the end of main Castle Street Dalkey this is a populat spot on a cold day. In summer there outside table across the road. Home cooking and friendly servers. A favourite for WiFi users. The owner takes excercise as reflected by bicycles and surf boards on the walls. Has an upstairs section also. Nice place where people are happy... More

Stopped by for coffee and carrot cake. The coffee is great, one of the best in Dublin and the carrot cake was the tastiest I ever had. Staff are lovely and the rest of the food looked delicious. I will be back and I highly recommend this coffee shop.

You don't really have to be a Surfer but the owner, Craig, is a dedicated one and this shows as soon as you walk in the door. High quality coffee is the strong point here but they also serve great toasted sandwiches and have a good choice of variations for you to make up yourself. The music mix is also... More

Cute little coffee place on the square about in Dalkey serving cakes, soup and sandwiches. Popular with locals and visitors alike.

Food was very tasty though service was slow. The place is quite expensive and was surprised they don't accept cards considering how much the meal was. Won't be coming back cause of this, every place in Dublin should be taking cards in 2017.

As an occasional visitor to Dalkey for Coffee, I have tried them all the coffee shops & bars & Mugs wins hands down every time. It is a bit funky with a West coast feeling, The coofee is excellent and it does some nice small cakes, scones etc. If in Dalkey go here
