Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Popped into this cosy coffee shop last week and the minute I walked into this gorgeous place the smell of home baking was striking. The place is spotless and specialises in lovely homemade soup and cakes, along with a welcoming and charming atmosphere - I...will definitely be returning! The lovely ladies running the tearooms are so friendly and ensured my visit was enjoyable and relaxed. See you again soon!More

Our party arrived in dribs and drabs but the space was found for all. Piping hot soup with macroom homemade brown bread and toasted sourdough with Ballymaloe Relish was served with such a smile. Perfect lunch and great service

Stumbled across this little gem a month ago and have been back several times since. Patricia the proprietor bakes all the food but especially her raspberry scones and brown bread are to die for. I haven’t tried her cakes yet but they are so tempting....In the month of January when I am trying to be good, it’s Hard for me. Coffee served in a cafetière and tea is proper, no teabags. Patricia and Fiona are so welcoming and chatty and there is just a lovely atmosphere in the place. The decor is lovely and the locally sourced pottery is beautiful. There is a lot of love and attention put in to these tea rooms. Other big advantage is that parking is not an issue. It is also open on a Sunday.More

The best coffee cake ever! This is a gem fo a place, the fresh food is absolutely excellent and the coffee cake is to die for, pardon the pun, as the tea rooms are inside the gates of Deansgrange Cemetry. The scones with raspberry, served...hot with cream, like a mini afternoon tea, the coffee in mini cafeterias, the lovely quirky ambience due to the decor all make this a really enjoyable experience.More

Looking for the grave of Brian O'Nolan (Flann O'Brien), we thought we would fortify ourselves with coffee first. The first thing that struck us was the friendly greeting and welcoming decor (very un-graveyard-like), and the second was the small but tempting array of cakes. We...couldn't resist the raspberry scones, served with butter, cream and raspberry jam; so light and tender, the best scones I've ever had bar none. We also got a whole lot of information and help, and came back on our way out to say thanks (well, actually, to try more of the cake - the coffee cake was light and fluffy and luscious, the apple pie was flaky and tender and delicately spiced with cloves). Pat gets up at 4 to do the baking - more power to her and this little piece of home-made cake heaven. Unfortunately we left in a haze of cake-powered satisfaction without checking opening hours, but daytime only (10am to 3 pm maybe?More

Nice coffee and cakes look nice. Cafe has ants though on the floor at the back door so we could not leave bags on the floor. It is nice to have a cafe in the cemetary but ant issue needs to be looked at.

This is an absolutely amazing place. We visit here regularly when we visit our parents grave in the cemetery. Patria, who runs the place, is a lovely person and always warmly greets us on arrival and always has something delicious to tempt us with. If...you on a diet avoid this place ! ha On visiting last Sunday we had home made (all her produce is home made) mince pies with fresh cream and coffee. They were delicious. Can't wait to go back.More
