This Pub is located in the lower level of the Conrad Dublin hotel where we were staying for a few nights. We went down late one evening for a lite dinner and drinks. The service was not very attentive and the food was slightly above average. With all the really great Pubs in Dublin, I don't believe I would return... More

Or perhaps more precisely, I went to heaven and then awoke and wanted to die- but I hasten to add - only because I got a little ahead of myself and tried to drink all the heavenly nectar that Alfie Byrne's have to offer. If you're lover of skilfully crafted complex tasting ales then you will be forgiven for thinking... More

I am a big fan of Galway bay brewery ales and stouts and their bars so I'll try not be biased. This was my first visit to Alfie Byrne's, I was very Impressed from the moment I walked in the door, The pub had a feel of spaciousness about it, it was busy and myself and girlfriend got a table... We had a pre-theatre dinner last Monday in Alfie Byrnes. The beef burger I had was so-so, but the healthy salad my wife had was dire. The service was slow and inept and we were overcharged. We left when a number of TV screens were unfurled to show a soccer match. The whole episode was most disappointing.

I along with some of my party ordered burgers. Always a good tester for a first time in a restaurant. I mean how far wrong can one go? Well apparently very far wrong. I could only describe my burger as inedible. The burger was thin and dry. It had been precooked and reheated on the grill. It was then overlooked... More

I made a mistake in choosing to eat here - not because the food was poor (it was very nice) and not because of bad service (it was friendly, even if difficult to identify staff). My mistake was that this place is not aimed at my particular demographic (ie. over 40!). It is for the young and trendy who are... More

Alfie Byrne’s was a great surprise. It’s located in the basement of the Conrad Hotel, so my expectation was for an over-priced tourist-trap serving Guinness and bad bar food. That would be wrong on all counts. They are an outpost of a Galway craft brewer, and they have 20 rotating taps of draught beer, mostly local Irish. The food is... More

Top craft beer and top food in the same place. Surely Not! Galway bay brewery have a smashing selection of beers here in the basement basically of 5 star Conrad hotel. Then add the top chefs from Conrad preparing the food and you are onto a winner. Nice and spacious inside and was great during summer for the Euros and... More

Alfies is the best place to go and try the best sort of craft beer in Dublin. The staff is really prepared to advise you and talk about beers and give you the ones you are looking for. Highly reccomend it for beer lovers

Wide array of craft beer, and ok prices, considering it's attached to a hotel, the small premium, is acceptable. Nice clean toilets - you know you're not in a regular boozer. Outdoor area is off the street, which in Dublin is a good thing, as you're less likely to be accosted by a vagrant. I think when one is paying... More
