Visited this weekend with my family and although they were extremely busy they managed to fit us in. Bit dark so difficult to fully read the menu but what we all had was tasty and reasonably priced. Staff very pleasant and helpful.

A tiny little place we visit the day before New Years Eve for dinner. It was full, so glad we had booked a table. Very nice food, it took one hour to receive it, but the atmosphere and the service was great. It is a combination of tables and sofas with a lot of pillows, pretty cool. Recommend this place... Had a pre-theatre set menu meal with family before Christmas. It was pleasant and everyone enjoyed their meal. I live in indonesia and I was very disappointed with regards to the authenticity of the dishes. It's not difficult to recreate amazing indonesian food in ireland and think they need to try a bit harder in that aspect. If you've never... More

It is just noisy up to a point that you cant even hear yourself think. If you want to have a calm place to enjoy a meal , pls think again as it is definitely not your cup of tea💀 food was not up to what we were expecting and there were shots accompanying it but somehow we didn't manage... More

Sorry to hear you did not enjoy the experience. We would hope you would come in on a quieter night or evening all restaurants tend to be noisy at this time if year. More

My wife and I ate here while in Dublin attending a gig. We didn't know of the place but felt like eating something different and it looked busy inside, which we thought was a good sign. We were lucky to get a table for two, in between bookings without a reservation. The waitress was lovely and really helpful. We decided... More

Have been waiting to eat here for ages and finally had the chance just over 2 weeks ago. Despite the busy festive period service was friendly, attentive and informative. Now onto the most important part...the food! It was unbelievably good! I've had many an Asian meal and this was by far the best! The slow cooked beef starter, the squid... More

Chameleon just never disappoints. I brought some friends who'd never been and we barely talked throughout the meal it was soooo good. You can taste that the food is just so fresh and the flavours in every dish are amazing, a total taste explosion explosion in your mouth. Food lovers will appreciate this place over and over again. Everything I go back to Chameleon I chastise myself for leaving it so long since my last visit. The food is outstandingly good. The shirt rib of beef in oarticular is just amazing. If that was all I could ever eat again, I'd probably be quite happy.

Had an early evening dinner here with some friends. Food was absolutely delicious. Ordered a few different dishes for our table and had a bit of everything. The balance of flavours was outstanding. Poached prawns and short rib are a must. Pulled pork steamed buns were extremely tasty too. Very trendy beer selection. The staff were super friendly, welcoming and... More

Highly recommended. Beautiful food, friendly & attentive staff. We will be back soon. We had the Java and Sumarta set menu options. Both delicious - especially loved the beef, lamb and cod tapas. Wine also fantastic

Description
Chameleon in Temple Bar is an intimate, ambient restaurant that specialises in Indonesian rice-table. Rice table (or rijst-tafel) is when the diner is served an array of sumptuous different dishes, at the same time, from confit of pork belly with star anise to free range chicken satay to our delicious desserts, all made in-house! Its almost like Indonesian tapas!Since opening in 1994, its owners, husband and wife team, Carol & Kevin have made a point in using as much locally sourced Irish produce as possible, including only using free range Irish chicken and locally caught, seasonal Irish fish.Chameleon is ideal for a romantic get together or indeed, for your birthday party or Christmas party, as they can cater for groups of up to 40 in our private dining rooms.Winning may awards over the years in 2013 the Chameleon was voted Best World Cuisine in Ireland by the highly acclaimed Restaurants Association of Ireland
