We wandered past The Green Hen by chance and liking what we saw, called in and made a reservation for later. The restaurant is warm and welcoming with interesting photographs on the wall. The staff were friendly and attentive. We ordered snails and scallops to start with halibut and steak for mains along with wine to match. All the food... More

In Dec 2016 enjoyed a lovely lunch at The Green Hen _ food is excellent - service friendly and efficient - prices are quite reasonable for the standard they are operating at. Great menu - some really different options - can't wait to go back.

We tried a few times before and every time it was fully booked, so this time we made a reservation. Service was excellent I have to say. Friendly and quick. Good quality food well seasoned and expensive. I think the portion sizes of the main courses were a bit small. Good place for couples.

So lets start with the fact that I always check the dessert menu online to see if they have something good! We never eat dessert, so it's nice as a treat when we go out! From our arrival, being seated at table 1, right next to the waiter/waitress section, where people were constantly buzzing around us, and just at the... More

This is our favourite French restaurant in Dublin. The food is always amazing. I recommend the stake with onion rings (going for the healthy option as the waiter joked). Upstairs is cosier depending on your preference but downstairs is lovely too. A must for those of you who like French food.

This restaurant is cool to say the least . Reserved, cosy , personal, jazz music in the background. All great qualities. The food was beautiful. The manager was on the ball but our waitress was not . We had to search to pay. Coffee never turned up. Asked someone else for beverages. Hence the one point deduction

Although very pricey, this French restaurant served up good service and great food. The ambiance is lovely with gorgeous decor abundantly candle-lit and very cool music. The first course of Mushroom Soup was creamy and mushroomy and the main of Roast Duck perfectly cooked (thankfully not too pink as the waiter had warned). Dessert which we shared was a delicious... After a mornings sightseeing we had a fantastic meal from the lunchtime menu. We had 2 courses for €18, my husband had the hake, while I had the chicken, tonka bean cheesecake and apple frangipane tart for desert. Drinks were averagely priced. Staff were really pleasant and friendly, quickly setting up a table for us. Very relaxed and quirky restaurant... More

Located in the centre of Dublin where nothing is cheap this restaurant offers a very reasonably priced menu and good food. Watching the barmen nixing cocktails is an entertainment in itself.

We have been to this restaurant quite a number of times but leaving a review for the very first time. Really enjoy the atmosphere and central location. Great menu and some super cocktails. Will be back again and again!
