Just a great bar, nothing flash and frequented mostly bu locals by the looks of it. The Guiness was excellent but the snuff was left alone! It's clean, cosy and the service is first class.

Been here many times for either a quiet pint or for lunch upstairs or for dinner and then lots of pints at Christmas. Its a fine place with great whiskey selection and very nice decor downstairs that takes you back to a time where there were no big screens blaring "the premiership" and people could chat or read the paper... As we were walking into the city early evening, the smell of the food wafted out and we knew we wanted to eat there - and we did. It's a busy little place, with people often standing outside with their drinks. The restaurant is upstairs, and the food? Absolutely perfect. Can't recall the last time I had such a fantastic... Went in here last night for a couple of drinks. Nice Saturday crowd. Not too quiet not too busy. Service was quick and friendly. Live music from a one man band playing classics which added to the relaxed atmosphere. Hooks are under the counters to hand your coat which is handy. The small bar was also cosy to sit in.... More

We happened upon this restaurant as we were making our way back to our hotel. The bar was on the first floor and the restaurant was upstairs. The menu was mostly Irish fare and we had fish n chips and shepherd's pie with lamb. Both dishes were delicious. The service was great as well. Food came in a reasonable amount... More

You'll have to wait for it, but the Knockanore Burger is fabulous. The service was slow at first but once we shared our frustrations with the manager, he made everything right. Excellent value as well!

Lovely place for a quiet mid week pint. Brought a couple of US visitors into the front bar for pints on a Monday night. They loved it.

Visited during rugby weekend, as I have for many years. Not much (actually cant think of anything) changed, busy pub, staff friendly, punters friendly, definitely worth popping in for a couple!
