Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We arrived and were seated immediately for lunch, we ordered a salad and my husband ordered fish cakes, sad.y the fish cake dish was covered in balsamic vinegar, we advised the waitress who took the plate away, as my husband cannot eat vinegar when the...bill came full price was charged for both dishes, oh dear we just paid and left, as we couldn’t be bothered to argueMore

I had they'd chicken and mushroom fettuccine and a bottle of Peroni. They could only offer full bottles of wine, the waiter hardly spoke English, the food took a long time to arrive and on the whole I wished I'd eaten somewhere else. Al -...get your name off this restaurant.More

A bit of a bizarre experience. Advertised in the window was a poster saying 2 courses and glass of wine for €14.95, thought this was reasonable enough so went in. The food was fine couldn't really fault what we ate - nice but very basic....The waiter had to read the menu as we ordered to write down what we wanted, so clearly knew nothing about what was being served. The place was quite empty, surprising for a Friday evening. Was a weird atmosphere in there too. Went up to pay and were presented with a bill for €43.... When we queried this and pointed to the poster we were told there was a seperate menu for that deal! We were not told about the deal menu or asked if we would like to see it. So we assumed it applied to the menu we were shown. Over all just felt it was a bit odd in there and felt very ripped off by having to pay €13 more than we expected! Will not hurry back or recommend it to anyone.More

We visited on Saturday on a Grab One Voucher, meal was supposed to be for two 10oz Sirloin steaks and bottle of wine, the steaks were thin and chewy - not Sirloin and definitely not 10oz, when i complained i was told they were 8oz...(i doubt that) they were served with potatoes onions and one sliver of mushroom swimming in grease, not the deal they advertised, and if they continue to serve meals like that i can't see them lasting too long - worst meal i have had in a long timeMore

We happened upon this restaurant by chance while looking for a place to grab an early bite before leaving the city. We noticed their sign outside offering an Evening Special of a starter (Smoked Salmon Salad or Homemade Garlic Bread), a main course (Chicken in...a Mushroom Sauce) and a glass of wine for 14.95 Euro. Can't beat that... so in we went! We were surprised at the layout once inside.... it looked much smaller from the street. We were greeted by a lovely young lady (Italian, I think). She was very friendly and immediately made us feel welcome. She showed the 3 of us to our table and offered us menus and also offered the special, which we chose. She brought us the wine (2 Red and 1 White) and it was, honestly, much better than we expected for an 'included' house wine. Light and easy to drink... We ordered more. We tried both the salmon and the garlic bread to start and they were lovely. We asked for another piece of Garlic Bread to accompany the salads and they brought it immediately. We all had the Chicken in Mushroom Sauce for the main course and we really loved it! It was tender and moist chicken breast with a delicious sauce of cream, white wine, garlic and mushrooms. It was served with hot, crispy, thick cut fries and a little salad. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the service. Also, we felt it was very good value at 14.95 Euro including a glass of wine. We will definitely go back and will certainly recommend Al Pacino's restaurant to our friends here in Ireland. Well done all round!More

We were sightseeing and just happened to walk past , decided to have a late lunch. If I am honest I was not sure if we had chosen a good place to eat. Seats were a bit grubby and it all looked a bit worn....Anyway we had starter and main which was lovely. I had minestrone soup which was very hot with nice crusty bread and I had pizza for main all well cooked, tasty and enjoyable. If we go to Dublin again I will be going back and would recommend this restaurantMore

Visited on Sat night with a Grab One voucher for 2 x Sirloin Steaks with side and a bottle of wine. We ordered an antipasti board to share and this comprised of couple of slices of cheap salami and tasteless prosciutto, undressed salad and an...artichoke. And garnished with a sprig of bone dry curly parsley. Steaks were not sirloin as advertised, these were cheap, minute steaks, served with a side of sauce that had a film of grease on top. Wine was absolutely undrinkable. We left about 5 minutes after being served, we could not eat this meal. In fairness, the waiting staff were very nice and apologetic and they did not charge us for the antipasti board. But otherwise a complete disaster, avoid.More

What a lovely evening. We ordered from the set menu so got a starter, main and glass of wine for 15 euros! Maybe be a bit clearer to say this only includes what is on the specials board. Starter- had an aubergine bread with vinegar...and oil; absolutely gorgeous, fast and great presentation. Main- I am vegetarian and there was no V option on the board, yet the staff were very welcoming and attentive and said I could opt for mushroom risotto instead of prawn. It was gorgeous! Wine- gorgeous. Staff- absolutely fantastic, very attentive, friendly, welcoming and fast. Was very busy and they dealt with it extremely well. They are actually italian (I think) so I think some things were not wholly understood, but was not an issue. Awesome surroundings, gotta love Al Pacino. Thanks guys- would definitely return.More

A new restaurant in Temple Bar so I thought I'd give it a go - with a Grabone Voucher. Any pizza or pasta with a wine or beer is what it says on the voucher but the waitress said I can only choose from 2...pasta dish - one being Spaghetti Bolonese, the other which can't remember. I ordered one of each anyway thinking I read the voucher wrong but when I checked it on my mobile (because she took the hard copy before she showed our table) it clearly says any pizza or pasta. We got our choice of pasta in the end but there could've been people who didn't get what they were entitled to because of the waiting staff's lack of knowledge. Considering there are so many places for pasta in and around Temple Bar, this place is below average for food, service and atmosphere.More
