Went with a group of about 15. The waiter was great and got everything exactly right. BTW he was the only waiter on our floor. The pub is downstairs but the restaurant is up one flight. This is the place for seafood in Dublin! The dishes were all prepared to order and came out hot and in good order. Will... More

I take a group to the Lord Edward every year; the group members and numbers are variable, but it is always over ten people from at least four countries. Everyone, whether Irish, British, Continental, North American, South Asian, East Asian, Middle Eastern, has always loved this restaurant - and they have said so despite the cost (nobody is paying their... I do not understand why other reviewers had trouble finding this place. I saw it when I was at Christ Church and it is right accross the street. You walk through the pub on the first floor and head up the stairs. My wife and I found the food to be wonderful. The server was very attentive and caring, To... More

The Lord Edward is a seafood restaurant on the third floor of a 17c house, once the home of Lord Edward Fitzgerald and in keeping with the ambiance the decor is "shabby chic". The ground floor houses a real old Dub Pub with ledges around the walls for the locals to put their glasses whilst STANDING! There seemed to be... More

Food was less than average and atmosphere was old old old. Only 3 other people having dinner there. It was expensive considering what you got. Cross this place off your list of places to dine. Overpriced, old fashioned and now one comes there. There's much better options than this old place

I went to the Lord Edward last week and really enjoyed it - the food was delicious and the staff very caring and friendly. If you are looking for a fancy place, then it's not a place for you because: - first it's not the easiest to find - the restaurant is not opened everyday (Tuesdays to Saturdays for dinner... More

Food was good however occasion destroyed by waiter giving me a key for the ladies loo, and when I discovered a man using it, waiter had the cheek to suggest it was a nice surprise!!!! Totally spoiled the night... More

Service was as good as you see, had oysters for app. they were the best we have had. the lobster and turbot were cooked and tasted excellent we are not desert people. when it was bill time it was reasonable. We would recommend the Lord Edward as a fine restaurant for seafood.

The waiters in this restaurant were some of the most friendly I have ever come across. The food was really really great. On a cold day/evening this restaurant is a must as it has a real open fire which makes the place so cosy.
