This place oozes atmosphere. We booked the table for 5.15pm and this is recommended. It was a Wednesday evening and although we were almost the first to arrive after it opened the place was full when we left. The service and waiter were fun and polite conversation. The food from the Pre Theatre menu was delicious and just enough and... More

Trocadero have the best steak and creamed spinach. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed. You really do feel comfortable and that is down to both the service and management. I have been eating here since 2005 and it has never lost its place in my heart.

Booked the Trocadero for a late graduation dinner with the family, and the front of house accommodated us despite it being valentines weekend! We arrived and seated downstairs by the manager/owner in a very nice spot near the front of the restaurant downstairs with lovely booths and we could see outside. It was a bit of a wet night so... We have been to Trocadero many, many times over the years for all the special occasions in our life but unfortunately we were very disappointed last night with the pre theatre menu. Starters were delicious but from there it went downhill. I had the hake which was over done and my husband had the rib eye ( med rare). His... More

It was our first time here and we had a beautiful meal. Food was great and the restaurant itself has 3 or 4 different sections. Tables are quite close together but it makes for a cosy atmosphere. There is a full bar with an extensive drinks list. Staff were very attentive without being intrusive. Can't wait to return.

I visited this restaurant at the end of January as we was in Dublin for a friends birthday weekend. I pushed back the reservation by 30 minutes which wasn't a problem at all, upon arrival we were told our table wasn't ready so we grabbed a drink at the bar. The decor of the restaurant is very atmospheric, roaring fire,... More

A friend took me here to celebrate a birthday recently and we arrived at about 6.35pm. The pre-theatre menus was due to end at 6.30pm but the waiter gave us the menu anyway to order from which was nice. The atmosphere and the interior in Trocadero is always plush, lovely ambience and a feeling that you are in a friendly... More

My aunt and I had a fabulous dinner a few months ago in Trocadero. We were looked after wonderfully by Martin Senior. He was very pleasant and extremely attentive to both of us. He is clearly a huge asset to the business! The decor is very tasteful and sumptuous and the photos of the many famous guests enhance the atmosphere... More

We were taken to dinner here by friends of ours - amazing food and wine. We would definitely recommend the restaurant if you fancy something a bit special. All the staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was the best we had during our trip.

Just before Christmas I was taken to the Trocadero in Dublin. I am a vegetarian who is allergic to mushrooms. The festive menu online had a butternut squash dish which looked fine. However, when we got to the restaurant the "festive" menu had mushroom risotto. I asked my server if there was anything else available - he said he could... More
