My wife and I live in Co. Tipperary and my wife had spoken about this restaurant for 8 years...it was one of her favourite restaurants in Dublin...so we finally made it and it was well worth the wait... I started with duck rolls and my wife had potato cakes layered in yogurt...for main course I had Mango prawns and they... More

Heard so much about this restaurant and I was really looking forward to dinner here. Arrived Sunday evening for dinner, decor somewhat tired, wine of very poor quality. The food itself was such a disappointment: the dips with the poppadoms did not taste freshly made and lacked flavour; the prawn starter was cooked in a pungent, cloying oil that still... More

There was nothing I could fault about the food. Everything seemed perfectly balanced. Probably the best rice I have ever eaten! The service was gracious. Decor a little tired, but an easy trade-off for good food. Small portions which didn't over-face. Would I recommend.....without hesitation! Would I return....every night until I had tried everything on the menu! Good value for... More

We were in Dun Laoghaire on a sunny evening for a stroll along the coast and decided to give it a go for a great end to a great evening and we were pleasantly surprised. This restaurant is very expensive compared to a normal high street Indian restaurant but it is worth it! The staff was very courteous and they... More

Once again another fantastic night visitng rasam..a group of us visited the restaurant three months ago and decided we simply couldnt resist coming back for more. We ordered a couple of starters to share..the favourites being the prawns and the potatoe cakes...the sauces were incredible. The rasam platter was another favourite. We each ordered our own main course and shared... More

Oh Wow what a great place. Starting with a warm welcome. Nice decor and a real buzz, without being noisey, in a very full restaurant. The star of the show was the food, fantastic. All hit the right button, Calamari and King Prawns to Start, followed by a Fish (Hake) Curry and a Lamb dish. Great Nan and Rice. Also... More

Truly excellent meal from starter to finish. Served impeccably by lovely staff despite it being a very busy service. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Every course was superb and tasted fresh, aromatic and classily. If there was a drawback it was that the decor was a little tired and in need of a refresher refurbishment. However overlook that... My best Indian food experience ever! First visit here I had to go back the next day for another palak kofta (vegetarian). 3 weeks later I was in Ireland again and had to go back. Excellent service! Very delicate food and a heavenly good garlic, onions and coriander nan bread. Rasam Restaurant is highly recommended.

Good service and nice decor but food was only average. I like thick curry sauces that are prepared with lots of vegetables. Two sauces I've tried here didn't have any vegetables. They tested good but were thick and watery.
