Good location, friendly staff and good menu. I had the Irish breakfast which was very good, my wife had the smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel which she said was very tasty. Only criticism that I would have is that the coffee was pretty weak and small measure. If I was to return I would probably try the tea.

This is a lovely, welcoming cafe, with great menu choices. We go there for breakfast and no matter how busy they are, you are met with a smile. Breakfast food quality is fine for the cost, only wish they served baked beans! Lunch menu looks good as does the quality. We willl return.

Gorgeous cafe with an almost Parisienne feel. Lovely selection of food (and they do breakfast all day Sat and Sun), great staff, lovely ambiance, it's the kind of place you can wile away a few hours.

I have been a fan of this place for a long time, and a regular if infrequent patron. I have left a very positive review in the past. I have been twice in the last few weeks and am sorry to find that it is no longer on my "must visit" list when in Dun Laoghaire. Of my last two... More

We had crepes and a goats cheese salad for lunch. The food was satisfactory and the cost was average. I paid the bill with a 50 euro note and was left 20 euro short in my change. I immediately went to the counter and spoke with the young man who served us. His response was that I had given him... More

An old family favourite of ours we regularly visited the cafe for Saturday brunch but in recent years have not had the opportunity to visit that much. So I decided to treat my 9yr old son and 6yr old daughter last Friday after school while we had to visit Dun Laoighaire. This place is a great find...never disappoints and although... More

Had great hopes for this restaurant- it's beautiful inside & had quite an exciting tapas style menu. Service was good but unfortunately all the food came at once- some of it was lukewarm when it arrived so stone cold before we finished. We had to leave quite a bit of food as a result. A few tapas were nice but... More

Hello there Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review. We are very sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your experience at The Sunshine Cafe I am however a little perplexed by your comments , as we do not do a tapas selection but a more traditional menu of starters and main courses on... I've been coming to Sunshine Cafe for years and years. The owners have really put their hearts into it and it shows in the food. It's a very reasonably priced place, with good portions of fresh food and good coffee. It's a nice simple cafe which just does it right. I'm a big fan of their tuna crostini and their... More

A lovely cup of coffee in a quaint little spot. You can sit outside at the front or in the garden at the back. Just wanted a nice cup of coffee and a slice of something nice. Had the lemon meringue pie which was lovely. A very relaxing place to sit and eat. Have had lunch here before and it... More

Visiting Dun Laoghaire and having a stroll, looking for somewhere to eat, we chanced upon the Sunshine Cafe. It looked interesting and different, do in we went. A marvellous choice by my better half. A relatively small menu, but, oh what lovely food. We can recommend the Goats cheese salad and the Prawn Bisque as starters. We followed with a... More
