I liked the pancakes and the cookies and hot chocolate. The staff were friendly and the cafe has a good choice of food

I had breakfast here as the places I used to visit on my trips are not open on Sundays. It was a real surprise. Breakfast was really good. All of the ingredients were tasty and perfectly cooked. The cafe doubles as a take away with very good coffee, tempting pies and cakes. It has the feel of a local cafe... More

Spent the afternoon in Dun Laoghaire and on the way to The People Park we found Poppies Country Cooking. It's a cute with plenty of seating, friendly staff and a good choice of items to eat. Their sourdough bread is the best I've ever had, even in the US. You will enjoy and it's very comfortable. We will be back.... More

Lovely cosy place! Staff are friendly and quick to serve you. Felt like I was at home having my scrambled eggs on toast.

Visited this weekend, not a great experience. Kids had what looked like steamed rashers with dry toast (no butter given) coz no pancakes available. A full and half Irish breakfast not much better, same pale steamed rashers, deep fried cheap tasting grey greasy sausages with tea and juice. €35 I'll be spending elsewhere in future. Staff pleasant enough but a... More

Dear Elaine, Firstly I want to apologise for the experience you received with your family. I have spoken to the people who were on duty that day and I can assure you this will not happen again. The food was amazing and served quickly! The best part of the experience for our group this past weekend though was the staff. The manager there was extremely friendly and helpful providing us with multiple local hints about where we should visit in the town and surrounding areas. We definitley plan on returning!

A great little cafe to make any visitor feel at home! The owner talked to me and a group of friends and provided us with great recommendations in Ireland. Everyone was friendly and welcoming!

Nice little café in Dun Laoghaire. Had the chicken tikka salad which was a bit too spicy for my taste but was very nice.
