About
We are a traditional Irish bar set in the heart of Dún Laoghaire just a short stroll from the People's Park. Managed and run by friendly local staff who help to create a great atmosphere in a great Dublin pub environment, we host some of the best live music and entertainment in the city every week, including authentic traditional Irish sessions, live Bluegrass, Folk, and more. In addition, we offer a great Gastro Pub Menu for the bar from award winning chef Phelim Byrne's Bistro 73 restaurant upstairs. Come down and join us for great drinks, food, banter and more!

Popped in with my partner on a cold Saturday night for a bite to eat and listen to some music that had been advertised on the billboard outside. I ordered vegetable soup and bread and my partner ordered fish and chips. When my soup finally...More

Rude waitress who pretty much ignored us. One person in our party had their pint glass explode and other than a basic cleanup nothing else was said.

We came here for dinner and some traditional Irish music on a Thursday. From the moment we walked in until the moment we walked out the door the service was amazing! The bar manager was so helpful and took great care of us. I had...More

I was on my own. I sat and waited for ages for someone to come over. No one did. I went to the bar. I waited and waited. Eventually I had to cough loudly to attract attention. The barmaid was friendly enough. She took my...More

4 tv sets. Barmaid starts her shift and puts all tvs on soccer. When asked to put back on original sport on one of the tvs claims other customers are watching soccer. The Eagle House, a short walk away, was very glad of our business.

McLoughlins is a lesson in how a pub should not be run Nama. The barman wasn't that great. First you have to get his attention, then say a couple of hail Marys and you might get a drink. With only one barman and a poorly...More

A pub is a public space where one can enjoy a drink or a meal, surrounded by good people and great service. McLoughlin's is the pub I recommend to everyone who asks me which pub is worth going to in Co. Dublin. Not only is...More

Shame about this Bar. Set up good. Food was good but not sure I would risk it again. Service is terrible because it's one barman most of the night I don't understand this as it can be very busy. A lot of locals must get...More
