We were staying at the hostel right across the lane and were recommended to check out Quays. We weren't disappointed, the atmosphere is very cool and fun and we had no problem meeting people to chat with. Only suggestion would be to have someone check the bathroom more often, there was paper all over the floor.

Went here for food once and drinks multiple times. It's got a cool vibe and style to it. The oysters tasted fresh and decent value. I would definitely recommend as a nightlife stop.

We visit Galway quite regularly and normally eat in places that we know we enjoy but this one day we fancied a change. We took a walk down the street and this bar seemed very nice with a good atmosphere so we proceeded to the restaurant which was down a set of stairs. No one was seated in the restaurant... More

Neat bar with multiple levels and rooms but jam-packed with tourists. Played mostly pop music - not Irish traditional when we were there.

I have no clue how the food was, but the bar and the entertainment are on point - even for a Monday night.

This is a nice traditional style pub/restaurant in the heart of Galway City. The food was pretty basic for the price. The speed of dishing up the order would lead you to question the freshness of the food. I had haddock and chips and my partner the lamb. The salad that came with the fish and chips was a sad... We ate there and it every single plate we asked for were terrible. We orderes some quiche and irish stew but it came with chips, pasta, salad, many cold things, and a tiny liece of what we ordered. Everything was frozen and bad quality. However, at night it was a very nice pub wit an awesome alive group concert!

In a city with many good pubs, The Quays stands out for being spacious and particularly welcoming. Reasonable prices. The food looked good, but we didn't eat there.

I'll start off with the positives first... The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the service is good with a real feeling of old school Irish banter. However the food is way below average and the cost, well when you consider €17.95 for fish and chips with a tasteless side salad and coleslaw that's frozen is taking the pi$$! Go... More

A must see - even if only for a drink. A really neat bar with architectural delight. Can be touristy because if local - you will enjoy if full or empty.
