Only good kebab with freshly made naan bread and delivery on time. Food should have much more flavour and pinch of salt at least. Too much sugar instead.
The korma was watery, no taste just disgustingly sweet and inedible. Other things bland taste, no salt. Only a good kebab. Freshly made naan bread and a lot of meat.
The mixed kebab (if you are a kebab fan) is to die for. The korma is creamy and the chiekc tender. We will definitly order from here again an again. A word of warning, they have a habit of dropping the cold can of drink...into the same bag as the hot food (result= cold food, warm can). So just whip it out asap.More
When we were placing oír order we saw oleer cooked teaching a new female Cook teaching her how to prepare the food, sadly the result was poor and definately not to be repited.
Found this Indian to be okay, nothing special,I feel there are better Indian establishments in the town that do better food.
Ajanta seems to get nominated for awards so I can’t speak on the Asian parts of the menu, in regards to the chicken kebabs, I have definitely had better, doesn’t have the same taste as Persian restaurants I’ve eaten it, the sauce is to much,...but it is a big portion. I’ve had pilau rice and that has always been fluffy and tasty.More
Amazing food and service from this take-out Indian. Chicken Pasanda and Saag Paneer (for the veggies out there) -absolutely beautiful. Can't recommend highly enough.
Got a takeway from here as it was voted best takeaway. I love Indian food but my husband doesn't so much. I decided one night to get food from there when he was not home so myself and my daughter decided to treat ourselves. I...was so excited but when I got the food and tasted it I was so disappointed. I thought it was too sweett as if there was sugar in all the meals. My daughter felt the same. We actually threw out out the food and I hate to waste food. It was the first and only takeout food I have ever thrown out. Will never eat there again and I was so sad and sorry for the bad review.More
Pekoras are brilliant but the buttered chicken is to die for a must have Jamel is brilliant great invention
Had heard great things about Ajanta takeaway and was excited to try it for the first time for our New Years Eve takeaway dinner, we were staying in as wanted to avoid the crowded restaurants & pubs. Ordered at 7pm, person on the phone seemed...distracted and not very interested in taking our order and also couldn't answer my questions as to the which dish was spicy or too hot etc. In the end we ordered the Zaffrani Korma with rice which I presumed would be the safest option as its mild. We also ordered two starters of onion bahjis and samosas. Our order took about 45 minutes to arrive which is good but it was stone cold, and also our order arrived without the chips we ordered. The Korma dish was inedible as it was flavored with rose petals, and smelt highly perfumed, this would not be a typical Zafrrani Korma and should have been advised to us by the takeaway, thank god we had ordered starters as this was the only thing we could eat. It was a total waste of nearly €30 which included the €2 delivery charges. First time and last time ordered from Ajanta takeaway, god knows how they have won Takeaway of the Year in Leinster!!!.More
I''ve gotten take-away from here on several occasions and each time it's been absolutely top notch. Great flavours, well seasoned, and good portions. They cook to order so on busy nights you could be waiting a while, but they make sure to let you know,...as opposed to some places that tell you half an hour and you're still waiting an hour and a half later! Would definitely recommend Ajanta.More
It is no surprise that Ajanta has again this year won a prize 'Best Takeaway in Leinster'. It is fresh and very clean in the waiting area. The front of house staff are friendly and efficient. You can see the chefs work in the spotless...kitchen. On this occasion we had samosas and lamb biryanis. Excellent. Portions are large and spiced delicately.More
Ordered from Ajanta on just eat. Easy, arrived when it said it would and the delivery guy was very pleasant. Unfortunately, part of our order didn't arrive. I phoned up about it and the people at the restaurant were very pleasant and apologetic. Got it...sent out plus some snacks eventually. The food is really tasty it's just a pity about the mix up.More
Avoid like the plague. Anyone who knows anything about or enjoys Indian food this is not the place for you. Dreadful, don't know how it won an award.
