I feel compelled to write this after my experience this afternoon. I normally don't complain but this was terrible. The staff need training. If you are not a personal friend of the staff you are wasting your time here. To get served here is like winning the lotto. The staff only became alerted when the in house music stopped. I... More

Called into The Swagman for lunch and a few drinks. Got a great welcome from staff and owner. Food was good, stout was good and the craic good!! Decided to go back that evening after chatting with the owner. He said the previous night they had a late licence so tonight would be quieter and earlier but his wee band... More

This is an excellent bar with great drinks and craft beers. Food is top class and generous portions. Staff very friendly and good live music at the weekends.

We were there to see the best Pearl Jam tribute in Ireland. Olace was hopping on a Thirsday night. Great atmosphere, wonderful bar staff. Had a blast. Will certainly be back.

Currently in Sligo on my holidays and popped in to the swagman today for a couple of pints, what a great pub, lots of choice of beers and larger but the main thing I noticed was what a warm welcome I recieved and how friendly and polite the staff were, also well priced. Will definitely return

We came across this gem while walking to the ATM. The music pumping out of the large smoking area enticed us in the door. The Guinness was excellent and we decided to spend the whole night here. The outdoor area had plenty of seating and room to dance. The inside bar was very busy with locals enjoying a Thursday night.... More

Not unlike a fellow reviewer, we were steered to this venue by another pub after we indicated a desire to try local (Irish) beer. ...the local beer(s) and cider(s) were plentiful and tasty... The menu offerings (we were repeat customers during our stay in Sligo) satisfied hungry travelers without reservation. Multiple visits required to enable sampling of even a portion... More
