We stopped here last Saturday and each of us Had a beautiful Toasted Sandwich served with Fries and a salad. Nancy the owner was delightful and has a real passion for food and customer service. We really enjoyed the big screen showing all the old pictures of Waterford. We were here before and had the reuben sandwich which was delicious.... More

Had lunch here after visiting Bishop's Palace. The soups were so good that we were very impressive. The seafood chowder had chunks of seafood in a thin creamy broth. The. vegetable soup was rich and thick and delicious.

Stopped off in Waterford for a late b/fast on a Sunday morning. Located across the road from the new Waterford Crystal showroom, we spotted this little cafe which is in the same building as the Waterford museum. A very pleasant surprise. Would recommend either the home made fish cakes with eggs of your choice. Food cooked to order and 1st... More

It is located in the Bishop's Palace but the menu is much better than you normally see in a Museum eating place. They had a good menu but we just had a cup of coffee and a bowl of seafood chowder which was very good. Chowder was a little pricey but not out of line. The staff was quite friendly... More

Interesting menu not what I expected from a museum cafe. Good food well presented and unusual options.

I told the waitress at the counter I wanted soup, and she said it was fine to be seated outside. After waiting 15 minutes outside and no waitress coming to my table, I walked back inside and reminded the same waitress I was outside and would like the soup of the day. After waiting another five minutes outside, I returned... More

Café just opposite Medieval Museum, and House of Waterford Crystal, plenty of outdoor tables with sunshades (if needed), very pleasant staff and delicious scones and raspberry jam.

We had a light lunch after going around the Bishops Palace. As part of the period building the room is very attractive and service is good. Our salads and coffees were all fresh and tasty and decently sized. Prices are fair. If you are used to the dismal Ben Ugo type operations in so many UK museums, the Bishops Palace... More

This cafe is adjacent to the Viking Museum in downtown Waterford. It was a charming place to stop for lunch. We ordered roasted red pepper soup and split a toasted cheese sandwich. The food was very good and there was no feeling of being rushed. It was a nice place to sit and rest while touring the City.

Because this café is located in the historic Bishops Palace you are inclined to forget about when looking for a place to have coffee or lunch. But it is so well worth finding...beautiful surroundings, honest great quality food, everything homemade using local produce, fabulous for vegetarians (very unusual in Ireland !) really well priced and lovely staff. Overall calm and... More
