A group of 7 of us ate in La Boheme in December, 4 adults 2 teenagers (aged 14 and 13) and an 8 year old, we made our reservation approximately 6 weeks beforehand because of Xmas etc. On arrival at 6.30 our table was not ready but we did get a table about 10 minutes later. Host/waitress gave us various... More

Four of us had dinner at the Bodega a few weeks ago. First of all there was confusion about our reservation and we thought we would have to leave. However, they managed to fit us in. The meal was disappointing. The chicken wings starter two of our group had were under-cooked and the manner in which they were served was... More

I stumbled upon the Bodega on a previous trip to Waterford during the Winterval Festival. This time I searched for it until I found it. Its the interior, atmosphere, food and wine are a taste of the Mediterranean and would recommend this a place to any wine and food lover.

Overnight stay in Waterford and we consulted trip advisor for some tips on where to eat and Bodega looked attractive. The decor is trendy and the waiting staff were friendly. We ordered for starters the Goatscheese & Quino salad which was huge and very tasty. My partner had the Salmon which was also very generous. For mains I went for... More

Never disappointed with the food here, is always good. Would like a bit more choice in wines by the glass. Looking forward to going back.

Ate here for lunch with my wife last Saturday. We ordered the Soup and sandwich special for €10 and to our delight the steak sandwich was covered with this deal. The Soup was delicious vegetable and the open steak sandwich was served alongside it on a wooden board with salad, we added some perfectly cooked fries in the mini bucket... More

Description
Listed in The McKenna Guide Best 100 Restaurants in Ireland 2014.In the heart of Waterford City is a restaurant that champions the local food experience. Vaguely Spanish in decor with a funky eclectic mix of food and ambiance that may well be described as Mediterranean. Most definitely, not a conventional Irish restaurant experience. Critics and regulars alike acknowledge this place is fun and different. With early bird menus from €20, this is an affordable treat in a relaxed atmosphere. But it's worth persevering according to the critics:" With its warm Mediterranean colour, this place would bring the sun out on the darkest of days" Georgina Campbell "Much loved menu that hits all the right buttons" The Irish Times"It's a dream vision of owners - Cormac & Donagh - who stamp their left field imprimatur on the excellent food & the fine drinks that make folk flock here in their droves" John & Sally McKenna"Bodega! Gives the taste of the med, and also the vigour & joie de vivre of the med" Bridgestone Guide
