It was my wife birthday so we decided to go to an Indian restaurant we had seen on our walk around Waterford. Another couple came with us and came to this restaurant, it was lovely inside and we ordered starters and main course with drinks. We are our starters and the main course arrived. My wife friends was just about... More

As much as we enjoy seafood and soda bread, not to mention the north and south Indian dishes easily available back home in London, the keyword 'Goa' caught our attention here, and we weren't disappointed. We chanced in on a Saturday evening, when the joint was jumping, but were soon seated and given every attention; with the small restaurant full... More

I have been to this indian restaurant since it opened way back in 2006 or 2007.... The staff have always been amazing, and know how to settle the taste buds of any customer not familiar with spices and flavours of India. The food is fresh, good quality meats/fish/vegetables, with subtle flavours to firey hot but leave you wanting more... Which... More

The Goa is noisy a bit over crowded and the toilets are half way to the outer atmosphere. However the food and service more, much more than compensate for any discomforts. Very reasonable prices too. Well worth a visit.

There were two Indian restaurants we were considering for dinner. The woman at the front desk at our hotel, Dooley's, recommended Cafe Goa, which was right next door. We couldn't have been happier with our choice. We were greeted enthusiastically and seated immediately, and served pappadum with four different sauces. Even though the pappadum was listed with a separate charge... More

I was craving Indian food, and this place hit the spot with their great lunch deal. Vegetable pakoras were fantastic, and korma was very good. I did not at all like the chicken tiki masala as the sauce was very very sweet and not very spicy --- perhaps just a different style than I am used to (but I have... More

Staff is lovely in there but the owner is really something else. All about you and fake to your face then completely rude to his staff.we gave a tip to a waiter in there and as we were walking out I saw the owner take the tip from him, he better not be keeping it because they all slave away... Visiting Cafe Goa on the Quay in Waterford is like calling on a favourite aunt who will offer you an array of fabulous food which is always delicious and beautifully flavoured. I've been many times and what I love about this restaurant is that there's never a risk of being disappointed. You know going in that you're in for a... More
