Was apprehensive that this would be just another steak joint, Actually the food was really good. My lemon sole was fantastic and sizeable. Everything was done right and my fellow diners enjoyed their meals.

Unknown to many there is a nice area at the back of this restaurant also. We were upstairs. The food was average for the price. The seating was a bit tight also and not very relaxing. Staff were friendly.

McLearys has only been around since 2011 when they opened on High Street. The Wine Vault was there before them and that opened in the late 80's I think. Before that, "proper" restaurants were few and far between in Waterford
