Decided to have a day out to the seaside today. Went to Sheringham but couldn't find a parking place, so on to Cromer and same problem. Carried on driving and came across a little place called Roughton and saw they had a fish and chip shop with a nice little restaurant. So we parked the car and decided to have... More

This fish and chip shop is very popular and serves excellent food. There is a small restaurant if you would like to eat in but would advise you book to reserve. If the weather is good there are tables outside. A car park is also there.

Best fish and chips I have had in Norfolk in the last six months. The prices for take away are reasonable and in line with other places locally. Only problem is that this is situated on a busy Mini round about junction and care has to be taken when entering And leaving the car parking area.

My husband and I were on holiday in Thorpe Market. My son and his girlfriend came to see us. We were going to eat in Cromer but as it was Sunday every where was full. I am glad we came here.We sat in the small restaurant and had a thoroughly enjoyable meal.

There is a downside......the queue!!! but when eventually you get to the front...the service is always with a smile and you know the food is freshly cooked. I have returned many times

The three of us had a great lunch on Saturday with a friendly waitress and you can take your own drinks.

We have been here a number of times (and always impressed). Planned this visit to complete a trip around the north Norfolk coast. Had not booked, and several tables reserved (speaks volumes!). Although we ordered standard (not large) fish, they were huge, and neither my wife nor I could clear our plates. But waitress happy to pack up leftovers in... More

Me and my husband came here the other day because we had heard so many good reviews about it but when we got there we were mortified. The fish was soggy and a pathetic size for a medium. The chips were greasy and tasteless. The staff were even worse they were rude and arrogant and overall had a can't be... More

On the way back from Norwich, we decided to call in at The Fish Shop. We intended to have a meal in the Restaurant but there was a Closed sign on the door. It was 1.45pm but the sign outside indicated that the Restaurant was open until 2pm. Another group of people called at the shop at the same as... More
