Don't be put off by the entrance from the car park via the smoking area into bar, once inside the bar is really smart and clean we did not look at restaurant as quite happy with bar area. We visited the pub on a Friday evening, it was quite busy but not excessively so. The pub has a nice conservatory section for dining, although we were unable to get a table in there and were sat in the main room. There is good parking on site, although she spaces are a bit tight. There is a good range... More

A long established country inn that I can remember my parents visiting 40 to 50 years ago, when I lived nearby. The winning formula hasn't really changed, it didn't, and doesn't, need to. Traditional home cooked food is the order of the day. A good selection of real ales and lagers, with comfortable seating in the lower lounge bars. My... More

Had a lovely lunchtime meal here. Can recommend the steak pie. Loads of meat and tons of vegetables. No room for a pud! Old fashioned pub, cozy and interesting. Would visit it again.

This is a great place to stop off for a pint and a bite to eat. Parts of the pub are very old with low beamed ceilings and there is also a nice glassed in area and seats in the garden. The staff were very friendly and a great variety of reasonably priced food is available. To be recommended.

This is the best value I've ever experienced as a pensioner. Lunch is a delight, the food is tasty and well-presented, the staff friendly and welcoming and the whole place exudes calm efficiency.

Fast service. Great food. Nice environment and lovely to see dogs allowed. Can really recommend. The portion sizes were great and the food had a home cooked feel. Can highly recommend the rhubarb crumble!
