I have frequented The Harrier Pub a number of times, usually early lunch time and have on the whole always found the service polite and the quality of the food ok. As part of an established eatery group the menu is basic but offers a variety of foods to suit the needs of most people. The staff do their best... More

Somewhat apprehensive because of some of the previous reviews I was very pleasantly surprised by our experience at the Harrier. The bar and waiting staff were polite and professional. If you are expecting haute cuisine you will be disappointed but if you are expecting good pub food nicely cooked then this is the place for you. We visited as a... More

So decided to have a cheap and cheerful bite to eat last night in the Harrier. Will never make that mistake again. Poor service, not enough staff ,food that had been cremated and totally inedible. When it did come meals all served at different times. Things missing from plates. Not enough cutlery and had to keep asking. In short diabolical.... More

After a dodgy patch great to see the Harrier on the up again. We eat there regularly most Fridays, traditionally very good value, but after a very dodgy spell there seems to be a completely new team, from Landlord to Chef to bar and waiting staff. Food is significantly and continuously improving, back to the high standard it should be... More

Came before and gave a good review - always been impressed but seriously what has happened !!?? Service used to be good, but the girl serving tonight was shocking - she clearly did not want to serve anyone, no manners, rude, dismissive, half stuff on menu they did have or she didn't know if they had it (seriously... she didn't... Will not be returning. Food overcooked, the pastry of the pie was rock hard. Complained (twice) but all we got was "sorry, I'll tell the chef". What chef? Obviously hadn't got one. Recommend don't bother to serve the food, put it straight in the bin where it belongs.

The toilets are dirty!! The smell of wee is so strong! The empty tables are dirty!! And clean with a dirty cloth! The mood is ok for what you pay.. but the place is just so dirty! With clearly untrained or uncaring staff.

We have been dining here over the last 12 months at least once a week, and I have to say recently the quality of the food is poor, there are obviously staffing issues, and the chef clearly doesn't know his basic menu's, on the last two visits I have had cause to raise concerns with our food. It will be... More
