This cafe looks the part, very nice interior. It also has an appealing short menu, apparently the pizza is very good, i didn't have that. The lunchtime menu includes sandwiches/salads and soup. Service is more miss than hit, the staff are hard to get hold of....More

I booked one of the rooms upstairs from 4.30-6.45 on Friday night for a baby shower. The room was perfect and we were allowed to move the tables and chairs around to suit and hang some bunting. I had pre-arranged that my 22 guests would...More

Yes it is possible. In fact it's better than possible it's amazing. Firstly big apologies to the staff because we changed tables about a dozen times to avoid Mrs Don't Look@Me Shouty Woman who wanted to be the centre of attention with the group of...More

We went here with 5 people without reservation. We got a nice table on the upper floor and had excellent pizzas at a reasonable price!

This was a great find, a little off the beaten track so nice and quiet. The food was delicious, very reasonably priced too. We came for lunch and had the halloumi salad and a pizza, both were exceptional. Would definitely come back next time we’re...More

Textbook pint of local brewery Pimewoods. Lovely coffee and cake options available. Best pizza in town in my opinion.

I would definitely recommend Starling. I booked The Barn for my daughters 16th birthday with up to 30 of her friends. They all had a great night and I received numerous comments saying what an enjoyable evening they'd had. Lovely food, friendly staff, perfect venue...More

When the menu is simple (though certainly not lacking in imagination at Starling) everything depends on the quality of the ingredients and the skill of the chef in getting the basics right. Eggs Benedict came with two perfectly poached eggs, the "half" Heidi pizza -...More

Description
Beer & coffee house with 16 draught beers, 20+ gins, 8 fine wines by the glass and great range of interesting soft drinks. We offer an impressive range of hot drinks with loose leaf teas from Brew Tea Co in Manchester and a full range of espresso coffees. Our espresso blend is Under Milk Wood from Dark Woods Coffee and we also have several single origin coffees on guest rotation available in V60 pour over filter. We also grind our decaf coffee to order. We have an extensive brunch menu made with quality ingredients from local suppliers such as Ian Taylor Eggs, Sykes House Farm in Wetherby, Lancasters Bakery in Harrogate and Bellerby's Dairy. Through lunch and into the evening we serve proper Neapolitan pizzas with all our dough being made in house and proofed over 3 days to maximise it's flavour and texture. We also serve our very own Yorkshire Poutine, a Canadian beer food of hand cut chips, cheese and proper ale gravy - it's the future!
